I'm using 26x11.5x17 et streets on stock suspension (minus lowering springs) and my best 60ft. is 1.67. I'm not trying to build a drag race suspension, but see alot of people pulling 1.5x 60's so I'm wondering what's the minimum I can get by with to pull 60's in the 1.5 range. I'm thinking if I remove the front sway bar that will allow me to lauch harder allowing me to dip into the 1.5's. Any thoughts? BTW upper and lower control arms will be going in soon I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do for next track night.

if u are hooking and doing 1.6s u need more power to get to 1.5s. if u are having trouble hooking then u need more parts to make it hook better.

Well I was putting down 471rwhp and 473ft.lbs. tq before the longtubes so I'm assuming I have the power just not getting it all to the ground. Maybe I'm not launching hard enough? I've only been out to the track with my et streets twice and those are the only two nights I've ever had experience with sticky tires. I guess my question is will I be able to get 1.5's on stock suspension? If not what are you guys doing to get 1.5's including lauch technique and suspension parts? I'm manual BTW and currently launching around 3500rpm's.

Probably the best solution is to determine exactly what the issues are.

Get some video from the rear of the car at a slight angle that shows the tires at launch.

Like this.

Then make your corrections accordingly.

I need to adjust my rebound a bit and put a little more to her out of the hole. Tire pressure might have been down a bit that night, I sat forever while they backed that car in front of me out.

Video can be a very useful tool for working on your 60'.

launch harder.when i was running a 125 shot i was on the same tire you are and was leaving at 5000-6000rpm and would cut 1.57 60ft every pass.bmr non adj lowers only stock springs.strange 10 way shocks.

plstang had it nailed

but tire pressure might need to go a little lower so you can really get on it out the hole

with right at 500 to the tire on the same tire but the dr's , stock suspension except uca, lca's ( non adjustable ) and squat's and 3.90's with a turbo ( so i don't really leave in boost ) leaving at 3500ish i cut 1.55's and up ....well before the stock clutch disintegrated :thud:

thing is no matter if 10 people have the same setup to the T as you every car is different you really need video or a bunch of friends lol that will tell you what needs to be done
