Who can tune my Magnuson?

Yea, I know it's the red-headed stepchild of TVS, but it will have to do.

Anyway, looking for a shop/tuner that has had some experience with these. Everything is still stock except for cat-deletes. Will also be changing pulley and making a cai later. Car is an auto andI have a Livewire TS. Just looking for a safe engine tune.

Id think any good tuner can do this ...its boost ...engine ecu don't care what make the blower is .

Justin at VMP is very good with TVS applications. If you want to stick with a forum vendor then Lito or Lund can take care of it.

The magnuson is a pain in the ass to tune.....
I had a 2011 with an auto and fought a hesitation off idle and when Lund tuned it there was a part throttle hesitation. Its a difficult system to get right. I have since sold my car but I believe BlowByRacing has had some good results. Do not just give the car to anyone and there is a thread somehwere on a CAI that showed massive gains on the Magnuson by using a much larger mass air pipe.

The Magnuson is basically a TVS1900. Justin Starkey (VMP Tuning) specializes in TVS blowers and even developed his own version of the TVS1900 to work on the Roush M90 intake manifolds. Justin started out working for SCT (Superchips) before starting his own company and he also is the one who sold the SCT tuning software package to Lito (TuDyno). While discussing my blower Justin has told me about some of the differences between the TVS and the Magnuson, indicating to me that he is quite familiar with them.

The TB and the boost bypass valve are very close together. I added the Roush vacuum line restrictor to help slow the bypass valve but they fight one another.

Update....looking for someone to tune the kit as is. I want to keep the injectors that came with the kit(oem gt500's). Anyone????

You could try Steeda as well... they sell Magnuson's and tuned my 06 with one.

When I first started trying to get my tune right even Magnuson thought they had 60# injectors in the car. I bought the 47s to swap out when I was staring at the same injector I just pulled out of the car. They had 47s in the car from the start and had a tune written for 60s. Have you talked to Blow By Racing? What are some of the tuners saying back to you???

I also just went through the great injector debate wih them. They were correct from the start telling me they are LU47's.

Thats after I told them that they didnt have 60s in the car as they originally thought. I had blower #001
