Not sure why he hasn't posted them here yet, but he posted this on his Facebook. It is really lifting the front wheels now!

A well documented step-by-step with good photography would be really great on a project like this. This is something I plan on doing with my '06 GT in the future. You probably could've gotten an article in MM&FF on this along with some free parts? Awesome build - I too prefer the all motor direction. Thanks for sharing - nice thread.

Well I just read this entire build thread. To say you did an awesome job doesn't begin to describe things.

Great idea, and love the concept. I think Ford already did this. As I go outside and open the hood of my 11 GT I see the same motor. isn't this kind of like putting a 03-04 cobra motor in a 2002 mustang GT? The 02 isn't going to somehow run faster than the 03-04. I would think it would be a whole lot less expensive to just buy a 2011 or 2012 GT. Maybe a BOSS or a Cobrajet.
Looks like a nice build though.

You missed the point and you don't get it. I would spend the money on this before i would buy an 11 or 12. More bang for the buck, who wants to pay Tax, tag, and fees all over again.

Wow you are an idiot this is in no way like swapping a 03-04 cobra into a 02 gt. Do you the differences between the two model years?its a totally different set up don't make stupid comments when a badass build is made like this

First, you are missing the point of the motor swap. He did it because he can. His car already made 400rwhp with the 3V, and ran 11.1s so it wasn't like he really did it for the power.

Second, how would it be cheaper to buy a whole new car than to buy a motor? Let's do the math.

2011 GT=$25-30k and runs 12s.
Coyote motor swap= $7-8k and his car runs 10s.

Matt already had his car set up(weight reduction, cage, suspension, rear end, etc.) so it was a lot easier to do a motor swap than buy a whole new car.
