This thread is the reason I won't being swapping to a TR6060.... I'll gladly wait for the T56 Magnum. If it doesn't come out, time to upgrade the 3650!

Well its things like this that make me think its an issue witht he clutch itself.

Lightblade it very well could be a bad clutch. My 2nd clutch on my 3650 was a zoom dual disc that never functioned correctly. I sent it back and zoom said there was a problem with the PP fingers and warrantied it.

A quick update on my 3650 as I was experiencing similar issues with the RST and an Exedy flywheel.

Got the new mcleod al. flywheel in and installed the clutch with out a shim. We did all the calculations according to the Ram setup sheet and a shim wasn't needed. So far after about 100 miles of city driving it is a dream, but my problems didn't surface until later.

Moral of my dilema don't mix and match the flywheel and clutch manufacturers unless you know for sure that the dimension are exactly the same. Learned my lesson for sure.

Hey I just thought of this. You don't by chance have a black ring that bolts up to the flywheel do you???? When I orded my last clutch rxt it came with a black ring that bolted up to the flywheel. It pyshcially bolted up by I knew something was wrong when compaired to the gold ring/rst. I called up Mcloed and they said the black ring was for a 99-04 cobra and I could just unbolt my black ring from the PP and reuse my Gold ring. Check that out it might be a problem there. Also a note that it was smaller in diameter than the gold ring.. Worth checking out.

Its the gold ring. And my RST for the 3650 had a blue ring.

Leaning even more towards a clutch issue for sure. Waiting to get in touch with Mike at the shop and see where to go from here.

Waiting on the T56 M will not save you any problems, as they use the same parts, the only thing the T56M will give you is a fixed shifter, instead of the remote, and a better sync rings, and the mid plate is not built into the bell housing.

I want all of those things... LoL I'd really like to have a nice bell housing so I don't have to use a diaper. Exploding clutches scare the shit out of me.

Edit: Also, by waiting I give you guys time to solve all this crap. :p

Was this the number on yours? Is there any chance your shop took apart the parts that are shimmed by McLeod? Specifically the floater ring.

You can take a 6060 remove the BH, and pickup a LS2 mid-plate, and a T56 Quicktime BH and you are done. If you want buy the special sync rings and put them in to.

As far as I'm concerned there is nothing to solve. Had a RST with my 3650 and now with the 6060. Great clutch. Holds power, doesn't overtax the slave, recovers from being burned too, just stinks for awhile, lol.
