In preparation for the track rental in October and to allow the 15x10 rims/tires to fit Jeremy and I with the help of Ray started the install of the RSB relocaion kit...one of us is done and the other...well, as usual something always happens...
Started off with oil changes for both of us, Ray arrived and we decided to do my car first. Up it went on jacks, removed the tires, bottom shock bolts and the end link bolts on the RSB-both of us have GT 500 RSB's-put a jack under the differential-jack stands were already under the car-and removed the RSB; Ray fired up the torch to heat the bends of the RSB and with heat and persuassion bent the RSB enough to clear the CHE LCA relocation brackets, re-installed the parts and did a test fit of the 15x10 racestars with the MT ET streets two ply tires and....sigh...of course the drivers side tire was rubbing on the shock dust boot...off to Auto Zone where I bought a pair of 5/16 spacers which provided the neccessary clearance.
Onto Jeremy's car, repeated the process and.....uh oh....he has a Watts link which when modifying the RSB it hits on the Watts brace behind the differential...sigh...so he has a couple of options which he is thinking about but he left the garage without a RSB....interesting!
