Ray it was great to see you again and I'm sorry you didn't get your 11 time slip. How did the videos you guys were making come out?

Guys, had a blast. I got my pb 1008 @131and my 60' 1.42 and had the car running great. It was nice to meet some of you guys.

It was nice meeting you as well. Thanks for taking the time to show me the battery relocation there in the staging lanes. Car ran great. Congrats on the new PB.

Earl it was great seeing you again also, LOL!!! My 11 will have to wait until next time, It gives a reason to keep coming back. Congrats on the 11.09 , I think Jeremy told me he's got a video of that run, if so I'll get it to you...I have'nt seen the videos yet myself.

I am calling Jason Monday to set up a fall rental based on the interest/participation I saw from this rental; I am planning/asking for another Friday in Sept/early Oct.

The only "complaint" I had was with the lack of water in the burnout box which I spoke to Jason about, that was that EMT's first day at the track so he was learning the in's and out's of track prep.

If anyone else has any constructive criticisms or feedback for Jason/MIR please post them and I will pass it on.

The only thing I wondered about was the 275 guys. Did they pay for their own rental or were they just in on ours? I understood it was our rental and that was why the cost was $100. The 275 and Outlaw guys were given preferential treatment in the staging lanes is why I am asking. It didn't really affect the number of runs we got I was just wondering. I would be in for this fall, MIR is 1000% better than VMP is.

The 275 guys joined us and with that Jason/MIR laid the VHT down to the 330 mark vice the 60 ft mark so it helped us "street" guys as well...plus they counted toward the 24 car min which was a good thing since I had no idea how many people were actually going to show up.

I like the way MIR asked all the 275 guys to come up at the same time so they could get their runs in.....I don't think I saw anyone waiting a long time to run, I know they shut the track down 1-2 times for cleaning/prep/cleanup of someone's oil spill :whistling::helpme:

from taking pics at the lanes and watching everything and everyone @ MIR. MIR makes VMP look like a rookie outfit. MIR had their act together at this event and no complaints that I heard of where as VMP was a bitch fest and set the wrong tone for the day.

Damn, sounds like I missed some crazy stuff by not staying for the Madness.

Earl

They were so far behind due to cleanup and soooo many cars..wow....there is no way I would ever do a TNT....I know it is more money but there is something to be said about doing as many runs as you want whenever you want to vice sitting for hours in line to get 1 run in.

The only complaint I had all day was the way we were having to get our time slips. I missed getting a couple of them but went to the tower and they were good enough to print out another one for me. Other than that the Track and all it's people were far superior to VMP. The extra distance traveled is well worth it. I'm looking forward to the fall rental count me in....

I didn't have any problem with time slips. :naughty1: :naughty1: Thanks again for getting my slips so many times. Yes, that is the only thing I had a problem with, as much as we were paying I think they should have had someone handing out the time slips. A lot of guys didn't bother to pick up their slips and the damn things were blowing all over the staging lanes by the afternoon.
