This is version 2.0 of my HomeDepot ramps...
+ 2x8 Pressure treated wood because they laugh at water, coolant, oil, or whatever happens to cross their path. When I lived in VA, I use these ramps to raise the car so I can hose off all the salt and craps. Pressure treated lumber are heavy, but they don't warp like untreated ones.
+ top step is 2' long. In addition to the front tire stops, the extra length allow me to put a pair of wheel chokes
behind the front tires. Very important when the front tires are on the ramps and you jack up the rear end. It's not fun for the car to roll backward once the rear tires are off the ground.
+ Grab handles at the rear of the ramps for easy lifting. Yup. These are NOT light and there are nothing to grab on to otherwise.
+ Cheap floor mat cut in half and stapled to the bottom of the ramps to keep it from moving. I thought about sandpaper, but my garage floor is coated and I don't want to mess them up prematurely.
These are definitely not something easily transportable. But they are cheap, safe, and works great with anything short of a slammed VIP style frame dragger.
