I made a set like this with the 45 deg angles for years and worked perfectly. My Mustang was a happy camper with this set up. And it is high enough to crawl under for oil changes guys. No need to make it any higher unless you are the size of the incredible hulk. :) Well if you are that big then you don't even need ramps to raise the car lol.

Wish I thought of something like this before I bought my rhino ramps which I can't even use because I'm lowered and have a chin spoiler!

I put a 2' long piece of 2" x 6" (45 degree bevels) in front of each rhino ramp and no problem.

Made a set yesterday, quick and simple 30mins or less to make. Side note: a 2x12x12 is a heavy SOB in one piece... I'm going to add the two optional 4' pieces to the bottom and make them removable using long wide pieces of Velcro stapled/glued to the bottom of the boards if the three boards just are not quite high enough. I figure the weight of the car should allow no movement of the boards when driving up them and the Velcro is pretty damn strong.

I made a set a long time ago. I can't get a jack under my car without them.

This is version 2.0 of my HomeDepot ramps...

+ 2x8 Pressure treated wood because they laugh at water, coolant, oil, or whatever happens to cross their path. When I lived in VA, I use these ramps to raise the car so I can hose off all the salt and craps. Pressure treated lumber are heavy, but they don't warp like untreated ones.

+ top step is 2' long. In addition to the front tire stops, the extra length allow me to put a pair of wheel chokes behind the front tires. Very important when the front tires are on the ramps and you jack up the rear end. It's not fun for the car to roll backward once the rear tires are off the ground.

+ Grab handles at the rear of the ramps for easy lifting. Yup. These are NOT light and there are nothing to grab on to otherwise.

+ Cheap floor mat cut in half and stapled to the bottom of the ramps to keep it from moving. I thought about sandpaper, but my garage floor is coated and I don't want to mess them up prematurely.

These are definitely not something easily transportable. But they are cheap, safe, and works great with anything short of a slammed VIP style frame dragger. :)

Bottom board is 4', middle one is 3', top one is 2'. I'm pretty sure I used a 2x8x10 for each ramp.
