Here is a fully assembled AST 4150 coilover strut with the Vorshlag CC plates and a 60 mm Hyperco spring. The spring rate is 450.

Those look a LOT like the BC coils! I wonder if the same company makes them both? I know my BCs are MASSIVE compaired to the stock shocks and struts!

AnodIzed parts everywhere! They are beautiful plates. Probably the best looking plates out there. All of it looks good, but I gotta say, if you think those shafts are huge, you should see Bilstein's struts. they are the biggest out there. I would be pretty excited if I was the owner of what you got. Nothing like some new, sexy, adjustable dampers!

Okay aerodynamics gurus; help me out with my splitter design. This is the rough mock up I made with cardboard of the shape. Do you guys see any improvements that could be made to the shape? Any suggestions?

I had wanted the edge of the splitter to be even with my front tire, so I'll likely trim the edges.

That's pretty much spot on on the FR500S unit and the unit I am making. I would have had mine done its just cold here and I don't want to freeze in the garage!:beerdrink:

My garage is heated so.. :nana2: But I've just been too busy to mess with it lately. Plus I'd have to take the whole front end off and take the bumper beam to have some brackets welded on. And I need to glue the chin spoiler on the bumper because apparently 3M tape doesn't last... at least not on a part that is under load at 150 mph

Small bolts from the spoiler to the bumper then 3M tape from the splitter to the spoiler. I have some brackets drawn up for the rear of the splitter and the front rods will hold the front of the splitter.

Only thing I would add would be vertical spats on the side, to help push the air around the front tires. I'm assuming you are going to take the splitter pan all the way to the K-member? For a mount, you could probably drop a bracket down from the rack bolts, and set it up with a slip-pin. The front turnbuckles would keep the blade in place, and it would be nice to be able to easily remove the blade if you wanted!

Vertical spats like these?

If so, I was planning on it. And perhaps some canards as well, but thats later. I am planning atm to take the splitter back to the radiator support, and then making another piece that extends back to the K member to make it easy to do oil changes and such. I'll probably try and mount it in a similar location to the stock 2010+ belly pan, but mine wont be vented.

I suppose I could flush rivet the spoiler. I was planning on attaching the spoiler to the splitter in multiple locations with some sort of fastener that will fail if I mow the grass so that I don't rip the whole bumper off. I guess 3M tape would fail in that case... Obviously the rods in front attached to the bumper beam and probably onto a piece of boxed aluminum as a spacer at the rad support since the rad support is higher than my splitter.
