BTW, Dillon still hasn't received his turbos yet. Does it normally take Comp this long?

2-3 weeks is the norm for building/receiving turbo's from Comp, they are all built to order.

Yes that is true. He should be getting them any time. It is more less complete other then welding it all up and making to jig and the first kit off the jig to test fit on my car.

Bobby, was there no room to place the wastegate closer to the Turbos, I am assuming you have a pipe coming off near the Turbo running all the way forward ?

no i wanted to put them on the fire wall but not enough room because of the heat so that was our next option. i didnt want them under the car because it would be a bitch to have to go under there just to change out the spring if you needed to. the pipe isnt long going to where it is now and uses vband clamps and flanges to get there.

This is a 1000whp out of the box. The turbos are rated at 780 each and are 62mm and I can go all the way tho 70mm in the exact same size turbo. So if you can just imagine the potential of that plus the 3.5" pipe going from the exit of the intercooler to the throttle body. We are running a special for the first so many guys to buy into the kit get it for 5700 shipped. Plus we will help out a little more with something else that I can say without you ordering first. Timmbo knows what I mean.

is there dump tubes for the wastegates being made? have you tested this set up or is it still in the mock up phase, im curious how well the WG will control boost being that far away?

The farther you move the gate from the main pipe(s), the larger the feed tube to the waste-gate needs to be. not only is it far away,it going the opposite direction of the flow of exhaust, im just curious if this has been tested in this configuration yet.

I liked everything about the setup until you got to the W/G. I am not a fan of that setup for the W/G. I think it would be much better to have them under the car and close to the turbo. You will hardly ever be changing the spring in the W/G with a boost controller, so I don't see that as something that should be much of a factor in the location.

The wastegate relives pressure not just exhaust. Pressure goes the path of least resistance. I ha e not tested it yet but will. Also if it doesnt work out we will move them to under the car. I personally wanted the up for easy access. It will work just fine. If the gates are too small which i feel they are not i will go to two 44mm as well. I think it will work just fine. All the bugs will be worked out and fixed before the first reL customer get the kit.

Yes the dump tubes will vent to atmosphere and dump down under the car

Also my fab guy workes for Penske racing. And has been checking with their engineer to make sure of e every thing we are doing works and works well.
