I hope it will be completed this coming March 2014 by BRENSPEED.

Some of the things just take time and it's really not anyone's fault.

If I don't get it by the end of March I will have to miss driving it to Lufkin, TX. to the Texas Shootout.

http://www.imboc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=267209

Also the weather up North this year is really bad and that is not helping to move things along either.

That's not too far off. Hopefully you get it back in time for the shootout.

The real deal is when you change some things it is extremely difficult to get everything to match.

Plus in some cases as you know your Shop is depending on Multiple-3rd-Party-Vendors.

On top of that some of the items on this new project have to be Custom made by outside vendors.

Then as most of us know the weather is and has been really bad for up North Shops.

In my case I am an older fellow and have taught myself thankfully to have (Patience).

I think the End-Results will well warrant my patience.

Regarding "Patience".

It is not I don't think a natural sort of thing for the majority of people.
I know when I was younger if I wanted something, I wanted it right then.
No waiting around period, I paid for it and now I want it right now.
One of the best examples I can think of is when I was trading cars like most people buying hamburgers at McDonald's.
Man when I made the decision to trade I very soon after that wanted my butt in the new car's drivers seat.

Now, I know to get things done as good as they can possibly be I need to Chill-Out !!!

So with me saying the above that is the main reason Brent & I decided to do my Bullitt Mustang in their Slowest-Season, Winter.

That has worked out very well for Brenspeed as well as me so each year we do our thing in the winter.

fdjizm,

I know you're spending a shit load of money but is the car ever going to be "final"?
You know when a person ask a legit question they deserve a legit answer.
I don't think it would ever be like what would be referred to as (Final).
Seriously, I know I am right now waiting for the New 305/35R M/T Street Comp tires for the rear.
Those are not suppose to be out until this April or possibly after that.
So even though Brenspeed will complete these changes going on that still leaves the New M/T Rear-Tires.
So as I said for me to say (Final) I just don't think so, not really.

like in two years are you going to rebuild it again or something like that?
I cannot positively say what I might do in say two (2) years from now.
But I don't mind telling you what my opinion is on that.
{No}, I will not be doing anything remotely on the extensive scale of this current project.

what is the end goal?
I'm going to answer you factually with No-Bull-Shit.
Man you sure are "Gifted" at asking the exact Right-Questions.
So, what the heck is my end goal with this 08 Bullitt Mustang ???
I'm willing to give this a shot as in my case I do know the answer to that.

I have decided to this time set (Cost) and (Time) for the current Project aside.

That is why the Bullitt was delivered at the end of 2013 to Brenspeed.
(After a lengthy discussion between Brent White & I)

I am a very Anal sort of fellow that researches things to death.
Then even after I do that which is very time consuming I still usually think more before making any final decisions.

Plus since you don't know me I have been doing this sort of thing since way back in 1967 with my 1st GTO.

I mention that so you know this is really not all that new to me at all.
The real difference is with my years of experience now I try not to make any mistakes.
That might sound easy but it is not by any, "Stretch-of-the-imagination".
The more one thinks up changes the more thought is involved for all of those changes to work together.

So, to the point ......

I want my 08 Bullitt Mustang when completed, (including New M/T Rear-Tires) to be exactly what I want.
Not what Ford thought up or Anyone else.
I am Ole-School so my changes are going to incorporate New Technology as well as Ole-School look.

Things important to me .......

(1) Street performance in abundance.

(2) Modern looks but with some Ole-School added in.

(3) I cannot overstate this, Reliability.

(4) If I choose to make passes with it in like (True Street) I want to be able to do that occasionally.

(5) Weather permitting to drive it anywhere and whenever I choose.

(6) To Retain all OEM functions such as, A/C, XM Satellite Radio, Pwr. Steering, Brakes, etc.

(7) Not to exceed the Rated-Power Rating for my TCI Superstreet Fighter Transmission.

(8) Lastly, I want to personally be proud of my Bullitt Mustang in all aspects.

Understood great answers!
Good luck on that road right now you have a hell of a fine car and me personally I don't think it needs a thing I mean it's run nice numbers, it looks sweet as hell and it's the sexiest body style s197! but maybe I am pleased by simple things lol.

I think it's perfect the way it is and I hope you love it when it's all "final" if ever :)
I know you love the car now.

I appreciate your compliments.

Just as a Heads-Up sort of thing the New 2014 will not look like it use to.

Seriously, it is going to be exactly what I want.

Like most normal thinking people we would prefer others like what we think up.

I totally realize though that what I like and prefer very possibly others might say,

(What the Hell were you thinking, that looks like shit, OMG you completely fucked up a nice machine, you gotta be shitting me this is what you did,
I'll never contact you to get an opinion on what to do to mine, please don't post anymore pics. of that piece of crap here on S197,
do you other people believe what he did to that Bullitt Mustang and so on) ...........

But you know what IMO opinion people have the right to state what they actually think.

If they Hate something just jump in with both feet and say and tell it like they see it.

In the end though and I am not saying this to be funny or cute or a smart-ass.

As long as I like it is really the bottom-line !!!

I hope though that just maybe there might be a few members on here that say,

(Dude not to bad, Not me but yeah, not bad, or, you did warn us it was not going to Look like the Old Bullitt and you damn sure meant it,
the ultimate compliment would be something like this, Bro that is so Bad-Ass I Likeeeeeeee.

Just maybe someone will say and actually think that and that will certainly make my day. :thumb:

Did the car not already meet these criteria with the last build?

Barrett ...

You know the short answer to your question is, yes.

It sure did and I want to keep it that way with the newest changes this time.

It will this time just be a much more Modern and much more High-Tech.

I have been careful to not go to Crazy on the Power Levels, H/P & TRQ.

If it all turns out as projected I feel sure it will meet the above standards I want.

So far from what I have heard and seen in Pics. I think it will.

It has not yet been on a Dyno so I don't know on the POWER Levels yet.

Im just glad you still have it, I know a lot of people that what they enjoy most is the research/build and then once car is "done" they get bored, sell it, and start over. I loved your car before, and its going to be even better soon!

Terry: Can't wait to see the new and improved Tigermachine.......
Andy ...

I have personally only seen a few Pics. of some of the changes but what I have seen looks to me to be pretty Darn "Awesome" IMHO.

Of course even I have to use some imagination to try to see the completed project.

Keith ...

Your so right on more H/P can = problems & in some case Severe problems.
I and Brenspeed are not going for some Wild-Ass H/P numbers at all.
I can't say for sure but my opinion is this new set-up will have more POWER.

Poster ...

Your absolutely correct in what you say.
Over on another INTERNET Site dedicated to the Bullitt Mustangs I am a Mod on those people are getting rid of their Bullitt Mustangs by the droves.

Mine is an 08 Bullitt that I special ordered is now 6 yrs. old.
Of course so much of it has been changed, up-graded over those yrs. it is much newer in some respects drive-train wise.

And I will admit when I saw the Pics. of the New 2014 Vette I did briefly consider it.
(Selling the Bullitt and buying the Vette)

But ...

I sat back and gave it a lot more thought and decided to go another direction.

My final decision was to ask BRENSPEED, (Brent White) a question.
That question was a simple one and this below is damn close to the exact wording to him.
(Brent are you tired yet of Fucking with Me & my Bullitt Mustang) ???

Thought I might as well ask him and see what his words of wisdom actually were on the matter.

Keep in mind he has been messing with Me and the Bullitt Mustang for going on 6-Yrs.

Well obviously as you all know he was not tired of messing with Me or my Bullitt Mustang.

For the Wise-Asses on here you can SKIP mentioning BRENSPEED should not be tired of me and my $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Completely UN-Necessary as all Shops get Paid for what services they provide to their customers.

Just to share a thought with you guys and my decision on making this last move.

Generally speaking when we go to sell a car like mine one should be prepared to take a Very-Heavy-Loss.

Also, what exactly will you have when you do make that move and get rid of what you currently have ???

My meaning is simple, Power wise & Looks what will you honestly have ???

I decided Screw taking a {Serious-Fucking} on my Bullitt Mustang and then end up with a New Monthly Car Note/Expense.

Instead I talked it over with my wife (Cathy), yes I am married and we have only one set of monies in this household.

Told her I had decided if she agreed to completely change everything on my Bullitt Mustang instead of getting rid of it and buying a New 2014 Vette.

I told her this time what I am going to do is make the Bullitt Mustang known by many as the "tigermachine" exactly what I want.

I got with Brent and me and a buddy drove to BRENSPEED and dropped it off.

I will also mention this as time has gone by a few of my closest buddies as well as BRENSPEED have come up with some very Super-Cool additional ideas.

Some I did go with and some I did not !!!

But as it stands at this point I'm pretty darn confident all Major-Decisions have been made.

I don't really know what other people tell the Shops they work with but since BRENSPEED and I have years of History.

I told Brent if you see (Anything) at all that you think goes with this New Phase#2 Project just do it. :thumb:

So BRENSPEED has added some Super Cool additions as well as my ideas.

I want to see this so I can stealz urz ideaz. Lol J/k can't wait to see it in action.

Brought to you by tapatalk; 70k fuck yeah.
Dustin ...

I think one of the Highest Compliments to a person is another one using ideas from the other.

I'm pretty sure you are just messing around but seriously if you or anyone sees something I do and wishes to do it to your Mustang have at it. :thumb:
