aftermarket shifters for the TR6060 will be "notchty". This is due to firmer bushings and reducing the side/side play. That's what makes the shifter action and overall feel more solid. The MGW is one of the best shifters on the market and 1000x better than stock. However, all of the aftermarket shifters still have 1 major design flaw in my opinion. That is they are still connected to the floor of the car. I'm not sure why nobody has come up with a solution that divorces the shifter totally from the trans tunnel.

It's gonna take a hell of a shifter to beat an mgw lol
You should see the DOB unit... It's a solid mount shifter, not a remote mount unit, so it completely eliminates any issues there. the shift length is adjustable as well. Gmitch told me it shifted better than a T56 magnum. I've yet to hear him lie about his own products.

Remember when I told you that was a secret? Knucklehead! I guess the cat is out if the bag now.

BlownGTvert actually has a prototype right now to fit up to his car and test.

It does shift better than my T56 Magnum. Which is pretty crazy. I've driven them back to back on multiple occasions.

TR6060 will be released shortly and the MT82 will follow. No plans for a 3650.

Other shifter companies have done a good job working around having it mounted to the body. But that will always be the shortcoming. The only way to get a bolt action feel out of it is to uncouple it from the body and a few other tricks we have up our sleeve.

That said, it is a "race" piece. The OEM like NVH crowd will not like it.

When are you going to have more information available? As mentioned, I just stuck that 6060 in my car, I'm looking at replacing the KR shifter soon, and I like what I see with the MGW.

I will be giving a money back guarantee with these shifters. If it is not the best shifting 6060 shifter you have ever shifted and don't want it, stick it in a box, send it back, and get a 100% refund. What else is there to know?:thumb:

But if you do have any questions fire away. Thanks.

You win getting inside information in the future.:thumb: Someone else on the other hand won't be getting any:tdown:.

We actually designed it years ago but we really sure what we were going to do with it. We're not a shifter company and we don't deal with anything in those sort of volumes yet. I just sat on it and worked on other projects.

It will be in production by spring for sure. We just have to test our current hand made prototype (gen 2) and make sure it does what the gen 1 did, it can be put on the car without having to remove the trans, etc. Then I get two pre-production prototypes made (3 weeks). Fit one to a 2007-2009. Fit another to a 2010+ and we are off to the races. I'll have to do a group buy, no way I can afford to get 300-400 of them run out of pocket the first time around. But from what I saw with how well the Blowfish bracket group buy went (aside from the vendor issue) coupled with the $$$ back guarantee I think that will be quick, fast and easy.

I'm not kidding when I say it is by far the best shifter available, period. I've driven all of them. 2nd place isn't even close. And I am willing to back that statement up.:thumb:

The prototype arrived yesterday. First impression is that it's built like a tank! Very impressive and finally a design that doesn't bolt to the floor of the car! I'll be installing it shortly and hopefully the weather holds out I can get a few holeshots with 1-2 shifts.

This all sounds pretty cool, with all the talk of better 6060 stuff I might not need to patch up my 3650. Just limp along for now and then pick up a new clutch disc and swap over.

Where are you guys finding tr6060's complete with everything needed? I'd like to upgrade before I blow my 3650 to bits, but I'm nervous about buying a used tranny. I may do a new Magnum XL package from JPC next year, but that's around 5k. Yikes. At that price, I'd rather spend the money on a bulletproof auto conversion.

I found a 6060 here, with shifter, crossmember, clutch and flywheel. It had had the 2nd gear syncro TSB done, too.

That's the inherit danger of buying used parts you've never seen.

I got mine from a salvage yard. I can't remember the name, but it was $1,600 shipped for a 24k mile tranny out of an 08 GT500. I think Bruce might know the name off the top of his head.
