Anyone used these? The ad mentions drilling, but their ads are cut and paste on all their spoilers. If it's like the MMD spoiler on AM they don't show any drilling. Just wondering which is correct. I know they've got a pretty good reputation for color matching and good fitment, just wanted to make sure before I've gotta drill holes in my decklid. At $119 it's hard to pass up :thumb2:

I've used them and would highly recommend. It mounts up at the factory points, but it does give you the option of drilling out a pair of extra holes close to the ends of the spoiler for added support and to ensure the spoiler sits level.

You can pass on drilling those two holes and the spoiler will stay on perfectly fine, but it may not sit completely flush.

Paint match was excellent on my car. For the price, you can't beat it.

Had it on mine as well, the paint was a little off, but pretty damn close to GO.

Excellent - did you use 3m tape like the MMD install on AM or just the bolts?

I only used whatever tape came with the spoiler. I drilled out the holes on mine so the extra support from the tape wasn't really necessary imo. I"m a picky mofo and I wanted it to sit perfect.

If you don't drill, then perhaps you want as much tape as you can.

I'll have to check it out when it arrives. I may or may not do the additional drilling, but I didn't know if the new bolts were in completely different spots from stock or not.

Is the drilling extra holes for the 05-09 version too? For the price I'm thinking about getting one.

Got one from them, too, but not pre-painted.
I used just two of the holes that lined up and used the tape, too.

Same here. Spoiler matched perfectly on my satin silver. I just used the supplied tape and two existing holes, I didn't bother with drilling the new outside holes. It sits pretty flush, but I'm sure it could be better with the other holes drilled.

FYI those "GT500" Spoilers are actually the Backup camera spoilers... Not the same as the GT500...

I used them on both my 06 and my 2012

On my 06 it was awesome, 10/10!

I'm not happy with it on my 2012 however. The spoiler does NOT look like a GT500 spoiler, just a slightly bigger version of the regular GT spoiler. Also the finish wasn't as nice as it was on my 06 (can see quite a bit of orange peel). For $120 I'm not complaining but know what you're going to get. I intend to buy the GT500 spoiler from AM and sell mine off eventually.

For comparison....

I've got the 05-09 style and it looks great. The paint match was pretty close. Little off but nobody notices except for me. Can't imagine white would be that hard to match but oh well. I've had it for 2 and a half years now and it still looks great. No garage for the car either

Get an OEM one from Tasca and have it painted. They look nicer with the black gurney flap.
