You're gonna laugh: Should I trade for a Focus ST?

As the title suggests, I'm thinking of trading. I know everyone will probably think I'm a dumbass, but I have a car I'm still making payments on that basically only gets driven to the track and maybe when it's not raining since I don't trust drag radials. Not to mention that eventually I'm afraid I'm gonna grenade something and it'll cost me an unholy chunk of change to fix it. In other words, with winter coming up, it's getting hard for me to justify keeping it.

So, my local ford dealer has a 2013 St that they just got in. 40k miles, Recaros, silver, anyway I like it, but I've always been a fan of hatchbacks. They're asking $18k for it.

My car is an 08 Gt, has 56k miles and a few mods. Quite a bit of suspension work. I think I owe $8500 on it.

Just an idea I've been playing with.

Think I should or nah?

You should do whatever makes you happy, but for me nothing can replace that V8 rumble, and the great looks of the s197.

I just went from coyote to fost. Took some getting used to. I love the fuel economy. Very fun car to drive overall. The brake dust is annoying. And recaros take time to get used to. Insurance went down about 30 a month. I got it mainly to save a little money before I move at the end of the year. And put the equity into my savings account for good measure on the move. I plan on getting another mustang after I'm established after the move.

I regretted it a lot at first but after I forgot how much faster the mustang was it got better. Its a fun car to throw around corners, and has been trouble free.

I got mine. 2014 st2. 21k miles for 18,900. For price reference.

The plan is to get the focus for a somewhat family car/daily and buy a 4 eyed foxbody in a few months. Like I said, as of now the Mustang only gets driven once in a blue moon.

You're not crazy. I like the focus ST a lot. Not sure if I could live without a V8 mustang in my life, though. If I could afford/justify having both, I would do it in a new youk second.

Why not just buy another set of wheels and tires for the Mustang and start driving it on the street?

I've thought about it. I had a set of Fr500's that I ended up trading to my dad to go on his 05. So all I'm left with now is Racestars with Mickey Thompson's lol

You need meds or the electric chair!!! Car is gorgeous. RA-TARDED to get rid of it!! I'd push that before I'd trade for a Focus. LOL

Duly noted dear sir, and thanks for the compliment. I'm gonna keep it. That was the main focus of this thread, to see if you dicks would convince me to hold on to it lol. Good on ya.

He is telling the truth. All those miles he puts on his car don't just get there by magic..... :rotflmao:

I considered it. If I could get to a good spot with payments and the such, and it was the color I wanted, and low miles.....it would be hard to not do it.
