There is no real guide of a coyote swap. Just bits and pieces here and there of information. I want to build a whole giude and slap a pdf instruction together as well as make this as a helping forum thread to give tips or tricks from anyone who has completed or in the process of a swap! Lets get all these motor heads together.

Here's a parts and price list that I put together for a Gen 2 Coyote swap into a manual '05-'09 GT:

Used ‘15-‘17 GT Engine (Alternator, Heater Hoses Included) $4700
Control Pack: M-6017-504V ‘15-‘17 GT w/ Manual Transmission $1500
PBH N/A Coyote Swap Accessory Drive bracket kit: COY-ENG-BRKT $750
PBH 11+ Coyote Alternator kit: SWAP-ALT-SC $0
PBH Dakota Digital Speedometer Signal Interface: PCP-SPEEDO $90
PBH Coyote Swap Fuel System: PBH-FSS197 $1000
’11-’14 GT Kooks 1-3/4” Long Tube Headers & Midpipe $1750
’11-’14 GT MBRP XP Series Cat-back Exhausts – Street Version $620
’11-’14 GT Right Hand Heater Hose: BR3Z18472B $0
’11-’14 GT Left Hand Heater Hose: BR3Z18472D $0
’11-’14 GT Upper Radiator Hose: BR3Z8260BA $60
’11-’14 GT Lower Radiator Hose: KM-5136 $55
Ford Performance Roller Pilot Bearing: M-7600-B $15

TOTAL $10,540

The PBH accessory drive bracket kit allows you to mount the '05-'09 PS pump and AC compressor in their stock location so they can be reused.
If you find a wrecked '11-'14 GT that hasn't yet been stripped of parts, it would be a great donor car for most of the parts listed above plus others that aren't. You could also save a lot of money.

Unless you plan on FI, the stock returnless fuel system works just fine. All you need to buy is the fuel line for.the coyote (fuel rail to hardline from tank)

I went with an aeromotive a1000 direct drop in fuel pump. Ive seen bad reviews and complaints for PBH fuel pump conversion return style

all that dick and balling around with the accessories, etc... could it be solved by having no power steering pump and converting to an EPAS rack? That backwards alt makes me want to throw up.

Yes, EPAS is an option. All the necessary wiring comes with the battery harness, which you need anyway with or without using EPAS. I fabricated a bracket to mount my P/S pump sharing the A/C belt. I used the coyote compressor, so the only modification was adding the p/s pump and a longer belt.

The power by the hour accessories kit didnt have any issues at all with the piwer steering pump fitting in and makeing just enough clearance of the sway bar. Just you have to install that pump once you get tge motor planted on the mounts inside the car.

I would like to see a similar list for the guys that live in CA and have to be CARB legal. I know the easy button is buying a donor (wrecked) complete car and swapping everything over and that would be my preferred course of action. That way I can get a freshened up interior with a dash and door panels and seats that aren't as faded as mine. But buying the complete car isn't always an option because of salvage yards outbidding me at auction.

I'm guessing the answer is everything on the list above minus the control pack and finding a stock engine and body harness to use in place of the control pack??? Am I missing anything else???

You definitely will need the controla pack if you swapping into another car. As well there is still an obd2 port already wired onto the gen2 coyote control pack. They will be able to hook in and read your o2 seating. Only downfall if your state is that you will need put stock headers which have more room than long tube headers. You will need to run stock mid pipe with catalytic converters and fab them to the connecting pipes that go to mufflers on the s197. Then you should be good for California emissions. But the ford controls pack does display the catalytic converters operation of efficiency on scan tools and as well supplies 2 special o2 sensors for the engine to run.

The control pack will NOT pass smog, anywhere in the US. The emissions monitoring is turned OFF in the control pack. Even if you enable them through tuning, the Evap monitor will fail and I could not get the catalyst and O2 monitors to run.. If you need to pass smog, you have to use a stock PCM. Also, you will need to flash your VIN.

Plus, the control pack does not support cruise control.

Isnt there an issue with stock pcm and PATS system issue for running it in the car?

Not really. PATS delete can be done, and it is permanent. You have to send out your PCM to get it done. Eric @HP tuners does it, and PBDyno (I think) in FL also. $250.

If you install the IPC for a coyote car, you can keep PATS working, but it is not a direct bolt-in job.

Yeah was never a fan of carbs. Only issues im being stumped to find are wiring for oil preassure gauge, coolant gauge and speedo.
One issue that is weird is that im pulling 15.3 to 15.4 volts to battery from altenator and battrry gauge is working fine but battery light is alluminated

Well that's very interesting.
In that case, an '11-'14 PCM with engine and body harnesses is the only option to make the swap street legal. This would also make an '11-'14 EPAS swap easier if you choose that option. If you're going to swap in a Gen 2 Coyote engine, the PCM will require a custom tune as well as the VIN and a PATS disable.
CA residents will need the stock '11-'14 headers (or aftermarket shorties) plus the '11-'14 midpipe, and a pair of 2.75" to 2.5" reducers to mate the '11-'14 midpipe to the '05-'09 catbacks.

I agree i feel that control pack would be way more expensive

Im fairly certain the PCM in the control pack is a standard unit, only the software and firmware are different.
