Removed my Barton ST shifter & replaced w\ an MGW 05-10 TR3650 adjustable ST shifter w\ handle from their TR6060 vers ST shifter (2 1\4" longer than their TR3650 std handle). Also removed the MGW shifter plastic bushings & replaced w\ my AMP Bronze Bushings to finish it up. Set the throw adjustment at 4 T's, then installed 4 extra flat washers under the MGW included flat washer, lock washer & jam nut to space handle out an extra 3\8" so handle has my Raceseng Topology weighted shift knob around 2 3\4" taller than it was w\ the Barton.
I went w\ the MGW to have the ability to have full adjustability on both sides of shifter pivot point. When I ordered it, I typed in the comments box that I was looking for a handle that would return shifter leverage to OEM height from pivot point up & MGW responded once unit was prepped for delivery that they had this longer handle from their TR6060 ST shifter that should get me there. Both the std TR3650 handle & this TR6060 handle have extended threading for height adjustability but the TR6060 handle has 1 1\4" more threads (TR3650 @ 1 1\4" vs TR6060 @ 2 1\2") so can give an extra 2 1\4" total height adjustment vs the std TR3650 handle for increased leverage.
At 4 T's this gave me approx 30% throw reduction along w\ the extra handle leverage, which was very, very nice when shifting......notchiness was minimized almost to the point of being none & the height felt very close to what I remembered the OEM shifter felt like, so I was very pleased w\ how it all turned out.
Now nothing was wrong w\ my Barton shifter & truth be told from using both now, the only real advantage of the MGW vs the Barton is the built-in throw\leverage adjustability.........I bought this MGW due to my 159,000+ mi TR3650 trans.......still shifts good but I know those synchros (especially 1-2 which are only carbon synchro insert rings..... not full blown sintered bronze synchro rings like the rest in trans are) are getting long in the tooth so as the trans wears I have the option now to readjust the shifter's throw & leverage to compensate for it up to a point.
