Loaned it to my parents while they’re in town! My Dad usually drives a very sedate, luxurious Mercedes so watching him get in and drive a beat-up, cammed, stick-shift Mustang is a little humorous.

Which one?

Used to have a VIS Invader hood on a 02' Sentra Spec V. Looked freaking phenomenal. Now I never see the SE-Rs, wish I had kept mine.

It should go on pretty evenly if you're holding the sprayer perdindicular to the grill and not too close. If you attack it at an angle it wikll require more passes and you may get some build up on the leading edges, Perpindicular and light coats.

You're never going to avoid chipping. My lower grill has been painted twice and my upper once. They are not the stock honeycomb but they get chewed up from debris.

So far I cleaned the grill, which was a pain by itself. I probably will use plastidip on the honeycombs and paint for the outer panels and the foglight housings (faded most).

FYI... another thing I just remembered....

The VIS hood I had. Did not line up correctly
I had to drill and Dremel out the Sentra hinges to get the hood to fit. On my car, and eventually the guys car I sold it to. Only sold it at tge point I knew I was gonna sell the car. Dang I miss that car. For a Sentra Spec V, it looked so evil.

Its their carbon fiber cowl hood. It better fit for the price or its going back lol.

Painted the border and fog lights of the upper grill with plastic primer + 3 coats of Dupli Color gloss black.
Wasn't able to clean the honeycombs enough to paint them too. Compared to the lower it looks good.
Will paint the lower later, was not able to remove it from the front alone.

It’s your/their hood. Do what you want. I personally can’t stand the look of CF. If I had one I’d paint it.

You fo you. I thought of painting part of a carbon fiber hood. Leaving the scoop area exposed. After installing, decided it wasn't needed on that car.

Changed the oil in both Mustangs and my Tundra.
Reminded myself to order new drain plugs for both Mustangs and really look into getting the Steeda jacking rails for the Shelby too.
My mustang is so much easier to lift because I have those things, it drives me crazy lifting the Shelby without them.








The Shelby was last, and I fully enjoyed backing it back into the garage (exhaust video)

Changed the cabin air filter. I have the AM hood struts so in the past always had to remove the lower bracket to get the cowl cover off to access the filter.

This time I had another idea. I activated the wipers and turned off the key with the wipers still up on the windshield. With the wiper arm out of the way I was able to lift the cowl up from the other end and slide it out from under the bracket. Easy as pie. Don’t know why I haven’t tried this before!

vinyl wrapped my trunk. going to do the hood soon and around the tail lights and top of the rear bumper. Hadn't planned to do around the tail lights. but i backed into a shopping cart the other day so now i kinda have too.

Finished replacing ALL of the coolant/heater hoses, water pump, water pump nipple, and thermostat.
Bought all of it a year ago and finally got to it. 207k and the hoses and coolant looked...factory.
In addition, over the past year, I found two separate guys that installed Roush superchargers on their cars, a 2010 and a 2008, back when they were a year or two old and around 11k miles. They both still had their original intake manifolds complete with throttlebodies, tps, charge motion motors, injectors and rails.
Bought the 2010 manifold and some other parts for $(redacted). Bought the 2008 for $(less than redacted). With the 2008, I also got coolant and powersteering reservoirs also with only 11k on them. AND a nice Powered By Ford intake cover.
So I swapped in the nicest parts while doing the hoses.
And an oil change.
It's not all nice and new, but it does look better. I also have a new OEM radiator cover, that goes on when completely done.

I drove it.
Two days in a row.
Idles MUCH smoother, like new, with the low mileage intake/throttlebody/injectors.
Well worth the effort.

I finally got around to doing some more body work on my fully shaved trunk lid, just reminds me how daunting body work can be, I finally think the panel is smooth, pin holes and other spots pop up.
