So far our own Randy Mounce "Born to Run" has qualified 4th in the Modular Muscle class. Its pretty good for a class that has 24 cars. Lets cheer him on. It sucks cause the Live Timing isnt working.

Just heard from Chris Parisi. He went -.003 red in Round 2 but should still have the points lead after this race. That Cobra Jet car that was shown in the spring thread has a bye run into the finals even though, according to Chris, the driver can't cut a light or run the number. On the other side of the ladder is our own young Canuck Matt DaSilva (MattD) out of DaSilva Motorsports going up against the three time FFW Top Truck World Champion Don Justus in the JDM tuned Heritage Edition Mustang. Chris said that Matt has been pretty good on the tree so far. We will see how he fares against the savvy Justus.

Updates coming in soon!

Latest update: Matt redlighted to Justus by -.003 (Chris thinks that was the number). Not a bad first race, Matt.

Check in with us when you get a chance, kid.

Any news on Randy?

I just got back from Milan. Great event and a ton of action. I ran True Street mainly to test my car against the rigors of that particular event. The winner of True Street had a 9.1x average. I placed 8th out of around 50 cars with a 10.7x average.

Looks like Justus won Super Stang. I would like to give that class a try once this car is dialed in a bit. I am going to be at Columbus for sure, and would really like to check out that new track in NC.
I set this car up to run FFW Street Bandit 10.6 index, now it looks like I need to find a class that fits in NMRA. I had to get this TS out of my system and conquer it seeing how last time I ran it I threw a rod on the old 4.0. Feels good knowing that after a 30 mile cruise and only 15 mins of cool down that the car can run like a top within .08 and all 135.xx after 3 back to backs.

Are you going to try Joliet next month? I'm bound and determined to be there even if I'm borrowing cars to do so. The class is pretty cool in that you don't have to worry about the 1/10th deal on Sunday. Just pick a dial and live with it. I absolutely HATE how Jim made the "qualifying" deal though. All run first round then laddered for the second based on how close to the dial you were in round one. That is flat fucked up......but, it is his class so what can you do.

I figured our cars would be a good deal in True Street. Good to see yours is that consistent with little to no cool down time. That's got to feel good!!!

Looks like young Matt took out the reigning NMRA SST champ in round 2 and VaginoHoe in round 3. I hope this kid is in Joliet. I might have finally found someone worth beating.

I heard Joliet is a really good track, I would like to check it out.

I watched a bit of Super Stang and saw DynoJoe go down. Going to have to brush up on the rules, but it looks like a competitive class.

Wow, good job cutting the tree. Got to the semis first time out to a national event with this car? Good job. And, great mph on that pass (114 mph!) That is 11's for sure.
