Putting my wheel studs in for the 15" wheels this sunday. I'll be making it to the track soon hopefully

According to the CHE site...you MUST have the CHE K-member brace to use these.

RH

Although you will have to modify it to fit if you have the BMR K-Member.

Do you know what specifically needs to be modified?
I do, I did it first. I'll help you through it. Get it and PM me when you are ready to put it in and I will let you know where to hack saw. It's a quick solid allteration that is simple. NO worries man.

I´m so glad to hear that I´m not the only one grinding from 1st to 2nd.
I wan´t that Che Torque limiter and thought about it when I bought my CHE LCA+UCA , but I´m not sure it will fit due to my turbo plumbing

Any issues with the torque limiters and brace interferring with long tube headers?

RH

depends on which headers you have got.
From the Che website : Fitment Notes: will NOT work with SLP GT V8 long-tube headers, or the American Racing long tube headers for the GT500
or is that just for the GT500 ?

I don't know how much help I will be at this point, but here is what solved my issues.

1.) Synchro TSB performed - 1-2 synchro was no bueno
2.) When performing #1, found that stock pressure plate was iffy, and installed a McLeod RST (stock flywheel is a McLeod Alum on the PJ)
3.) CHE K-brace and torque limiters

I can bang gears again!!!

Hey Pacettr, can you give a price estimate on those ? I spoke to a dealer recently and was a bit shell shocked at the total price (parts + labor) he quoted me. I'm fairly certain I had the same problem as you. Thanks.

TSB is covered if you are still under factory warranty.

The rest will vary by dealer/shop.

How long have you had that setup installed for? When I had the last clutch job done, I could bang gears with ease, but since then (about a year later and prob 100+ track passes) its getting very difficult to shift at WOT again. I don't have the same setup as you right now, but I'm thinking of throwing in the RST and hopefully putting the shifting issues to rest.

Got it buttoned up Friday. :lol2:

Drove as much as I could Friday and then the track is ~ 100 miles away. So far I really like it. VERY light pedal and it releases high.

What tires do you run at the track?

I'm running MT ET Streets bias ply 26x11.5x17. I'm thining about going to the 275/45/18 M&H drag radial and running them 24/7 though because I'm tired of having to change out tires at the track all the time.

That's what I just got. 1st time best of 4 passes was 1.82 60'. Was still spinning. I need more seat time to see if I can get better. I was hoping for at least low 1.7's...

I bought an aftermarket warranty for my car because it has gone past the 3 year factory warranty. Only problem is the warranty only pays $55 per hour and the local Ford dealer charges $87. Mitchell's calls for 10 hours to pull the tranny and fix the 2nd gear syncros...so it's looking like $370 plus $150 for the deductible to get this fixed.
