S197 is a great platform and this is the best site to learn about the performance mods to get it hauling for you

Thanx, thats why I got out here, and so far I got more negative coments rather then help.

dont feel special, it happens to all the newbies. Get that car fixed, do some research on here, and make sure you use the search button to find the answer to 97% of your questions.

Once you get it all fixed, post up some pics so we can see what you got there.

it's a tough crowd here, more interested in "go mods" then the show mods that the title and first post were about.

remember what ever doesnt kill you makes you stronger!

Well that seems like a fair price then but don't get to offended around here because we were just trying to help you by letting you know that there is no Eleanor. So if yu did pay extra then you could go get your damn money back.

Sounds like a fun project though you should start a new thread with some pics for progress on it. Im interested in this body kit.

don't let the fear of getting your online ass kicked stop you from asking questions ... but please use the search button first, have thick skin and a sense of humor and you'll do fine here.

... besides the fact that u can fit 22s without cutting anything off.
Why would you?
How much power you think ELEANOR has, I know its a stock 4.6 5 speed with alum BBK intake and magnaflow side exhaust?
285~290 maybe... depending on who did the tune.
What are the most cost effective mods to get that ponny up and going? I was thinking putting on offroad h-pipe or off road prochamber and getting a tune, how much power would that get?
Maybe 10~15 total to the wheels. But again, all depends on who is doing the tuning. Hell, just the way it sits you may be able to get it retuned and gain that much. Again... (and you will notice this is a reoccurring theme) it's all about the tune
What about headers,
Long tubes can (again, with a tune) pick up 15~25 rwhp. Don't waste your money on shorties.
Don't know what "camms" are. But if you mean "cams", there are a lot of variables involved. You talking NSRs or SRs? What grind? What brand? You could pick up as little as 20, or as much as 40. Just depends on what you get.
That is a brand name, not a product. This isn't the 2F2F giddygoogoo look at my VTec site. Now, if you are referring to adding a Nitrous Oxide setup to your car, that is by far the best bang for the buck. An entry level system with a 125 shot will put you over 400 to the wheels for $600~$700 bucks. If you want all the bells and whistles (auto bottle arming, heater, window switch, gauges, etc.) expect to spend probably around a grand.
i hoping to put the car somewhere around 12s in a 1/4. Im not going to do a supercharger install or turbo, its just not gona pay off for me, so some cheap bolt ons would really help. Thanks again!
That shouldn't be that hard to do. But starting off by saying you can fit 22's on it isn't the way to get you to your goal. At least not with bolt ons.

I didnt say I can fit 22's, I sad that i know for a fact that you can put 22's without cutting anything. I seen a guy with 26's, not that I ever would do that to any of my cars. 20's on s197 sit nice, 99-04 18's maybe 19's on a show car. Since my car came with those 20's I will keep them, what I find interesting that all for tires are nitto's drag radials, I mean i understand the back ones but why install drag radials on the front?

Either way, I did not say Im going to put 22's on the car, the fact that you can fit 3 people in the back seat, two in the front seat and a midget couple in the trunk does not mean that Im going to do it.

Oh please... you can get more than a couple of midgets in the trunk. If you can only fit two then you are folding them correctly.

You can get 5 or 6 children in the trunk easily.
With a little elbow grease you can pack in 4 dead hooker bodies and two 50lb sacks of lime.

Oh for sure... having those boot lid hinges up on the top so they don't interfere within the actual boot space really helps with hooker disposal.

I find it best to find the friendly people and just PM them rather than post random shit openly. Now if you have a serious technical question, first search it, and if it doesn't 100% answer your question/problem, note in your post what you found in your search and ask the remaining unresolved issue/question... and brace yourself. They'll still flame you. BUT, you'll get your answers, like them or not.

I do the same. Search the topic, find someone that has a setup similar to mine or has a part installed that im researching and ask them via PM. For example, I have modeled my suspension after CK's car, he has given me alot of great advice via PM.
