moved to chat... IIRC the "Elenore" was only the 67 GT500 popularized by the movie Gone in 60 seconds

Hey guys, i just got RIPPED OFF, the whole purchase was really spountenious so I barelly did any research on a car. Im really familiar with 99-2004 style stangs, and owned 03 cobra before but dont know much about s197 platform, besides the fact that u can fit 22s without cutting anything off. How much power you think ELEANOR has, I know its a stock 4.6 5 speed with alum BBK intake and magnaflow side exhaust? What are the most cost effective mods to get that ponny up and going? I was thinking putting on offroad h-pipe or off road prochamber and getting a tune, how much power would that get? What about headers, camms, nos, i hoping to put the car somewhere around 12s in a 1/4. Im not going to do a supercharger install or turbo, its just not gona pay off for me, so some cheap bolt ons would really help. Thanks again!

Fixed it for ya

Nope, that's just the body kit. Rims are extra. Everyone raves about the quality, but I have it on my car, and I'm not overly impressed.

1) Tape they include with it will last about 6 months before coming undone.

2) Rear wing leaves a lot to be desired as far as fitment. Mine has way too wide of a gap in between the center and sides.

3) The rear wing also contracts and expands when it gets hot, making it extra tough to keep stuck in one spot. Make sure it's been sitting in the sun before install, or it will move on you after it's stuck down.

1) 100% Correct, this is why I had all the parts removed and had a body shop use urethane to make sure that they never fall off.

2) My rear wing is not really a problem, I have read others that have had problems with them.

3) I have been to some shows where it was well over 100 degrees, I haven't had this issue, but again urethane for me was the fix, you better like it, because when they are stuck on, it's on.

WOW! I've been busy last couple of days looking for some parts so couldn’t check back on my posts. I actually came here to get an advice, maybe an "expert" advice on a meter and some suggestions and all i see is a bunch of wining stuck ups, WHAT THE HELL?

First of all, I am familiar with the mustangs in general, I owned '02 gt and '03 cobra previously. I loved my cobra, best car I ever had, for about $1200 my dynograph went from 405 to 493 and ran a 1/4 in 11.9 on 17 tire, that’s includes everything, from pulley to a new ram clutch and fidanza flywheel. I had to sell it because I was buying a house and needed extra cash. Honestly I am not big fan of gt's, you can get up to about 500 rwhp and anything more would cost you some serious $$$$$, cobra on another hand is best value out there but I cant get one right now.
Second, when I sad I didn’t do enough research I meant on the whole s197 platform, and particularly on the vehicle I just purchased. I know that it is so called "ELEANOR" basically a GT with a kit and some rims, I think this one in particular was done by Bob Curgan Classics from FL, the whole kit was a $14-16000 option. And no I didn’t get for $40+ k, I got this car from the auction for $8000, it is a salvage vehicle that was hit in passenger front corner. I think I can get it put together for another $5-6k, and at the end have a '08 gt with Eleanor body kit, 32k miles extremely clean in and out for under $15k.....
