And then there's things like external wet sump systems or dry sump systems.....vacuum pumps.....coated pans/windage trays......hand cut scrapers....oil limiters........

Dry sump is a no go. I was thinking vacuum pump but is my little motor really going to gain from it? I have yet to see a modular pull a set up off...

I don't know how far you want to take this... but I have friends who are pro racers on the road course tracks. They go as far as doing a heat treatment and major polish job on all of the trans gears and R&P to reduce surface friction. These guys swear buy it. I have to think it would help drag cars too.

4 Vane pump seems to be the most efficent and lightest they offer

At what point does the valvetrain become a limitation? And what are the guys pushing the limits for N/A 3V running for heads and cams? Livernois Stage 3's with Comp Cam XFI's or custom ground cams?

Nice finds, this will all be very useful information for me during the next year. I just grabbed a new shifter finally so I could ditch the stocker. I have a long road before I catch up with you. If I ever do... Lol

I have the 127500 Xfi's , Custom grind is the way to go but big $$ depnding on the set up.

The 127600's and the stg 3 livernois or almost any hogged out head would be a great combo for off the shelf parts

I don't like the height of the stocker, sits to low. The Hurst Comp should place the shifter right where I want it. And that vaccum pump looks like it sits right where the power steering pump sits... Hmmm

Depends on the ring pack you have in the engine.

It works in drag race setups as well.

When the lift of the cam pushes the retainer down onto the guide boss. :roflmao: Then we get to playing with longer valves, taller springs, and reduced base circle cams.

Price on custom grinds is the same as shelf cams, kid.
