How much would it cost to get the car to ST? God knows Adam will take good care of you.
there is a tuner in Oakdale that I have talked to, shops name is Performance dyno tuning,(uses the predator) since I couldnt get the interest up to get Doug out I think I will try these guys, I had an SFI tune myself, didnt have any issues but didnt run it very long, only complaint was not leaving user functions unlocked. hope you get your troubles worked out
Didn't you say you already used Adam at St? Then went to some other guy afterwards. I don't personally know these guys, but Adam is very highly spoke about on the forums, so why second geuss his work?...
Upped the boost? 600rwhp? On 91 octane gas?Lostsoul upped the boost and had some other stuff done, that was the reason for the local re-tune.

There's always more to the story...............
I don't suppose that story has a chapter on wideband A/F gauges and what they said during recent runs to the track? It's a never-ending story...
I have the upgraded mmr fuel rail in redfire... the best color fuel rail ever, period...![]()

A/F data is a must these days and in relative terms it is so cheap compared to the engine that its a little silly not to do for HP levels like this...Threads like this are part of why a Wide Band A/F was a must for my engine swap.

Even if the tune is right when you roll out of the tuner, it doesn't mean it will stay that way - particularly if you change pulleys
I have been looking hard into fuel systems for my setup and I get the impression from everyone I spoke to with a clue that ~600RWHP is right about where you really start running into trouble with the stock fuel lines being the limiting factor... Even with ford GT pumps and rails, if you still have the stock lines between them you are choking the system...
What's more, I keep hearing hints of very high RPMs on that car (crossing the line in 3rd and some nice MPH #'s). Was the car dyno'd at these RPMs? A/F graph handy?
What was the max RPM he saw on the dyno and what was the max RPM you (or Roper) saw at the track?no.. no.. no.. its not like I got tuned and then threw in a pulley. haha I lowered the pulley long ago and then went to this local guy to do it. I was not at 600rwhp. This best I got was 525 and thats late at night and 2 fans blowing in the thing. I have taken the car 2 times with the same setup to the tuner. Last time was 3 months ago to fix this cold start issue. 2 times he had his chance to see something wrong with a/f or timing. These issues didn't magically show up.. its been going on for a while.
chevron in Stockton. I just cant tell if the 2 issues are from the same thing. The main reason I'm worried about the head gasket is that its the upgraded one from mmr and there was someone else that got the same mmr block and maybe same gasket (Hotown??) an I think he said it blew his built motor. I have been trying to find that thread.. I think its somewhere at mod fords. I remember Michael doing a compression check on the cylenders and they came out pretty good. I dont know if a leak down was do or the difference
