Yes but it's a 1/4 mile track. A run up to Budds Creek with Mike, although it's a long way, would also be worthwhile. He loves that track.

I know..he is friends with the owner, isn't he?

For us that is either a day track rental or an overnighter as that's about 3 hours away!

How far is it for you Earl?

I do..need the drive mod first!

If I can figure out the Greg Weld skinny fronts that will help as that will take at least 70 lbs of rotational mass off the front of the car.

With the ported heads, cams, FRPP intake and the Vortech I need more room to get the car moving...it is coming alive at the end of the 1/8.

It's about 2 hrs for me. I am about 1/2 way between Richmond and Norfolk. Do you know where the Colonial Downs Horse Racing Track is, off I64? I live almost next too it in a development called Brickshire.

That sounds much better. When my friend and I went last year, in his Fairmont, all he did was spin and he didn't even have the blower on then.

Eddie this is the Richmond track your speaking of correct?? I am with Greg about the travel time to the tracks. If everyone wants to setup a date we can start a thread and get it going. Walt is itching (order your tires now, I know ya have the cash) Rays R Code was dieing watching us on Sunday. We need to give Ray some time to get his tranny fixed. Whats your thoughts??

I am saving/uploading the video to youtube right now (taking for ever - HD). It appears that mine and most others good runs where NOT caught on video..lol. My camera was going from person to person so these are the only videos we got.

I finally sat down and watched my runs. I need to do longer burnouts, that's for sure. In one of the vids I had no water to dip the tires in and kept trying to do a 2nd gear burnout = fail. We did get Gregs burnout contest and Jamie blowing out the ricer. Perfect ending to a good day!

Will post video later or in the morning. I am ready for bed.

Hello everyone from Iraq! It's been a while since I've posted on here, some folks may not even know who I am or remember me. LOL! But I've been busy, stationed at Victory Base in Iraq. It's getting hot here, going to get hotter, but I knew that coming in. Our base has had over 32 attacks since I've been here. One 107mm rocket hit the building I work in 15 yards from my desk. Out of all the hundreds of people that work their, I was the closest. I am doing fine though, and still hoping to be home before Christmas. Maybe earlier with the "drawdown."

It looks like you guys had a great time and got some great runs in! Looking forward to seeing the videos, though it takes about 30 minutes to download one minute of video around here. LOL! But I just wanted to say hello and hope you all are having a good time with your Mustangs. Do a burnout and drink a beer for me.
