A roll cage went through the floor? Wow. I assume the bolt-on portion was too small and thus didn't distribute the weight enough, so the cage punched through the floorboards?

Was the driver ok?

Last Monday a Z06 ended up on its roof at Watkins Glen. The guy had a proper roll bar and walked away. It slammed pretty hard and without that bar the roof would have totally collapsed.

Another thread hijack!

Was that an HPDE event? Did his Airbag go off? If yes I was wondering if he had a full face helmet and what the effect was. That would give us another data point.

Has anyone built or seen roll bar where the horizontal harness bar part was removable to allow access to the rear seat area so the tires and tools can be put back there?

That's exactly what I have. I can fit three 275/35/18 wheels in the back. The answer is Maximum Motorsports. On top of that it's extremely well built. You replace the frame braces behind the front seats with the really beefy ones which allow to bolt the rollbar in. No 'my rollbar went through the floor' stuff.

I'm 170 lbs 5'11" but elected to go with the XL model so it was more comfortable for DD duties during the tracking season.

I know this is way late, but I said forever ago I'd share my seat other than the little aluminum bucket on the first page.

What do you guys do about the airbag light when you change the seat? Just stare at it or is there a way to properly disable it ?

I bought these used. NRG RSC-300 Carbon Fibers. I'm 6'3" 250 and fit comfortably in them.

The car is used mainly for AutoX, but I have tracked with these. Not the best option for that and I have only done a handful of DE events with them. If I were to use these as a track car seat I would want to have a cage in there and brace the back like we did with our Lemons car....

The material used for the cover does not stand up well, I will have to break out the sewing machine to fix that later on.

Pro's - these were cheap and very lightweight.
