Im sure hope so, thanks for the help.

I wonder why other guys with the same setup as me worked and why my first new slave failed after 2 days, any thoughts?

I am clueless on that, i never had a slave go bad. I think that it could go bad if they dry out, or if some used parts cleaner on them

If some one used a aftermarker crank, or a spacer between crank and flywheel for block clearance, that will change TB clearance

Gotcha, im gonna use the new oem slave again and use the shim from jegs and see how that does.

+1 Just ordered the shim as well for my 3650. I'll post results for those with 3650s following this thread.

Gil t2 thanks as well.

I think I am going to need a shim too, whats the smallest (depth) shim you can purchase? It wouldn't take much for mine. Maybe .25 tops

Jermey, I need a shim for sure with mine. You can tell when shifting quick that the clutch isn't fully releasing. The car will also lundge forward slightly when trying to put into gear with brakes released. Same crap the 3650 with rst did. Looks like Mcleod would tell their customers they need a shim when using their setup. 2 clutchs, 2 different transmissions 2 slaves same 8 bolt flywheel. Sooo. It has to be just the Mcleod brand. Oh and side note here. My flywheel looks brand new so I know there isn't an issue there. Zero wear.

Well not to sound like an ass but im glad your having the same issue, makes me feel a little better right now lol.

Hopefully with the shim we should be in business!

On my 3650 I had the RST and a 6 bolt aluminum fidanza flywheel (i have the stock crank) with an oem 05-09 slave and it did perform great zero issues with clutch engagement.

Another little trick, You don't need to wire up the reverse lock-out! Some shifters are easer than others to get into reverse, so try it first. If it is hard, remove the lock-out, take it apart and cut 1/2 coil off the spring and put it back on and try it. Do not completely remove the spring only cut it down till it shifts easily.

+1 on this I talked with McLeod tech (Billy) he said there "shouldn't be a need for a shim" and the same for the tech department at Exedy.

Can't wait to get the shim in see what she'll do. Thanks again I agree sorry about everyone having issues. This should be a sticky. Everyone doing anything but a stock clutch should use the Ram worksheet and measure prior to putting things back together. Potentially eleminate a lot of headaches.

Take the TB, and make a Template. Take it to a machine shop, or welding shop, have them make you a 1/16 and a 1/8. It's just flat stock
