Sux. I was expecting more power and alot less weight.
Wonder if the power to weight ratios are roughly the same.

Going off advertised power ratings:
Ford:
Boss 302 = .122 HP per LB
13/14 GT500 = .172 HP per LB
2014 GT = .116 HP per LB
2015 GT = .117 HP per LB
*03/04 Cobra = .106 HP per LB
GM:
C7 Corvette = .138
'10+ Camaro SS = .109
'14 Camaro Z/28 = .131
'14 Camaro ZL1 = .140
*2002 SS Camaro = .095
From everything I have seen, and heard, the rods should be similar to the Boss 302 pieces. If that is true, then this engine should handle 700rwhp pretty safely.
I am going to get mine, and make 750-800rwhp. We will see how long it lasts. My goal is to take the car into the 9's with only a poweradder, tune, and some minor suspension tweaks - on a DR.
Is ford changing anything physically in motor or did they find power in the tune?
Probably the same potential as a 11-14 GT with less weight. Curious to see if the irs is worth the weight. I can see people swapping them out already.
According to motor trend they have boss connecting rods.
Heads, boss cams, larger valves, boss connecting rods, CMCV's, boss valve springs... Or so I've read second hand anyways
