Wonder if the power to weight ratios are roughly the same.

13/14 GT500 = .172 HP per LB
2014 GT = .116 HP per LB
2015 GT = .117 HP per LB

*03/04 Cobra = .106 HP per LB

GM:
C7 Corvette = .138
'10+ Camaro SS = .109
'14 Camaro Z/28 = .131
'14 Camaro ZL1 = .140
*2002 SS Camaro = .095

From everything I have seen, and heard, the rods should be similar to the Boss 302 pieces. If that is true, then this engine should handle 700rwhp pretty safely.

I am going to get mine, and make 750-800rwhp. We will see how long it lasts. My goal is to take the car into the 9's with only a poweradder, tune, and some minor suspension tweaks - on a DR.

According to motor trend they have boss connecting rods.

Is ford changing anything physically in motor or did they find power in the tune?

Heads, boss cams, larger valves, boss connecting rods, CMCV's, boss valve springs... Or so I've read second hand anyways

Probably the same potential as a 11-14 GT with less weight. Curious to see if the irs is worth the weight. I can see people swapping them out already.

From what I have seen the 12-14 5.0 is good for around 600? Kim seems to think 700 will be safe with the added boss connecting rods.

Actually, the exhaust cams have 1mm more lift than the boss exhaust cams. 13mm I think. The piston tops are also revised to accommodate the larger valves.

lol really?

interested to see the power curve with CMPs the new intake mani has.

87lbs of weight gain for how much wider this car is and IRS is remarkable imho.

i can see 15 being 2010 all over again, as a new camaro is due in 16 and I'm sure it will make 436. then the 17 s550 will come with probably 450.
