OK Guys,
Here is what you have been wanting to see on the pricing and time to do the conversions from your existing 5R55 transmissions.
I decided to do a separate thread so this will be really easy to find as time goes by for members.
If you wish to discuss this further contact Aaron at JPC.
His contact information is in his E-Mail to me below.
Aaron's comments are in BOLD below.

Aaron,
I'll make this short and to the point.
Thank-You very much for a very quick response and exactly what me and the other members on S197 want to know.
I'm going to do a new Thread on S197 for JPC on this topic.
If you are or any of your other employees are a member on the S-197 Mustang Internet Site you can use the link below to that Thread.
http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2173953#post2173953
The reason I am doing a new Thread I feel personally like when a Vendor goes to the trouble you have that's the least I can do in return.
If any of the other members on S-197 wish to discuss this with you further they will have your contact information.
Thanks again,
Terry Honaker aka "tigerhonaker"

labor your looking anywhere from $1500-$2000 (depending on a few options).
Typically I recommend going to the manual valve body with this transmission setup.
However if you need an auto shift the options are available for that.
(2) 4L80E how much for the completed conversion for the S-197 Mustangs?
Typically this swap will cost anywhere from $12k-13k installed.
This swap is very very expensive but the final product is worth it.
Having actually driven an S197 with a power glide, 4r70w, TH400, 4L80 and most of the manual transmissions under the sun.
I will say this was the closest to having a factory style transmission in the car.
The manual shifting is very responsive and the ability to put the car in drive and cruise around is nice as well.
Rossler offers a trans brake valve body for the 4L80 so you can have automatic shifting and a power glide.
(3) Hughes 4L80E built transmissions how much for the completed conversion for the S-197 Mustangs?
Hughes is just a company that rebuilds transmissions, no different
then Rossler, ATI, Transmission Specialties or any other company.
Typically they're not our go to when it comes to transmissions.
(4) If you have used the Hughes 4L80E for a conversion which specific unit did you use and what H/P & TRQ. was it rated ?
Again we really don't use Hughes, I'd rather use ATI / Rossler / Transmission Specialties for something like this.
Most of there 4L80's are rated for 1000rwhp+ so they should be good for a while.
As far as time frame goes on all of these your looking at roughly a week.
The total swap is roughly 2-3 days worth of labor but most of these with auto shift require some time to dial in the transmission.

Aaron,
OK, here is what the different guys are really wanting to know.
If you guys have done a conversion from the 5R55 to either the 3 following transmissions.
Let's assume we are only discussing those guys that have the 5R55 transmissions now not a manual tranny.
I'll post your response over on S197 Mustang Internet Site for you.
Let me say this regarding me using the term, "Completed".
S-197 Mustang is delivered to you at JPC and you do one of the conversions listed below and then owner comes and picks up Mustang.
(What is the Total Cost when it's totally completed and ready for pick-up) ???
There's tons of ways to go about each job so keep this in mind. Consider the pricing as OK, here is what the different guys are really wanting to know.

Lastly, what "Time Frame" does the total completion actually take ?
(1) 4R70 how much for the completed conversion for the S-197 Mustangs?
This swap will cost typically around $5000-$7000 in parts (auto shift being more),(1) 4R70 how much for the completed conversion for the S-197 Mustangs?
