remember, Travis isnt tuning anymore. He hired a guy named Andy and does the tuning there now and he is good to go.

Travis did my tune on my car after the L/T's and Hot Rod cams and the car drove great...but i would say it was 95%.

After i got my delete plates on i had it retuned. This time Andy did it and the car is perfect.

both HPP and Gearheads are reputable shops.
Andy is no longer working there. Travis is doing all of the tuning again. Apparently Travis had some issues with Andy's customer service skills.

You mentioned CircleD. They built my trans that I ran almost all year in NMRA Super Stang and it is great. Tuned by Triangle Speed, but that is too far away. I also have used Brenspeed and they are great. Good luck.

I'm throwing PTC into the mix. I'm buying all my parts from them to build my 5r55s and their prices and customer service so far are excellent. If you would like to have them price some parts out for you PM Chris06GT (a member on this forum). He works for them.

Installation is not a problem.
What i want is to BUY a built 5r55 trans. and 3500 rpm torque converter.
Tuning is another question, I feel confident in both Brenspeed and Livernois as tuners.
Both have run and built very fast cars.
IF? IF? anything I am leaning towards Livernois just because they have run WICKED quick cars with turbos.

What i want is to BUY a built 5r55 trans

I didn't know you wanted a pre-built one. Didn't really state that too clearly in the beginning, that or I read things fucked up lol. In that case I'm not too sure if PTC sells already built transmissions..

andy was a textbook tuner , he was not as good as everyone thinks. Travis is the man , my power curve was clean as hell when travis got done with it. i cant say enough about GH

Brensped is an hour away and LIVERNOIS is about three hours.
Both companies excellent with great customer service.
I an going to talk with both of them about tuning the TWINS after i get the trans in.
Brenspeed is a GREAT palce to go!!!! Hopeing the TCI is ok this time around. NOT Brenspeeds fault. Superb shifting trans when it works right. Thinking as soon as they get the NEW design clutchs in it..it should be fine. The 3000 stall really launchs nice too!

Performance Automatic. Mine is essentially a Super Street 5R55S and it has done damn well since 2008 with the twins on the car during the 2008 FFW championship run and in street driving after that. I have a transmission tune from Doug at BamaChips so you're S.O.L. on that unless you can find the rabbit hole he fell into. JDM should be able to do an email transmission tune. Brenspeed should also be able to help in that department.

Thank you... I just want to know "FROM EXPERIENCE" who has direct knowledge of 5R55s Aftermarket transmissions.

Q? Have you bought and run a "5R55s trans form anyone?
Q? What is your opinion of the trans you are running?

Examples;

Thanks everybody for your input ...BUT.... Examples above is what I'm looking for.

"I have lost 3 5R55S transmissions:
(1) due to the installer of the torque converter not having the adapter plate aligned properly and (2) as a direct result of a tuner that didn't know how to tune for the 5R55S." tmcolegr

"Stock 5R55S with SSF full upgrade kit from TCI. PA deep pan and PTC rebuilt stock TC/3600 stall. Held up for 2 years with zero problems!! JDM tuned!!" 07stangcs
