is anyone running around 550-575 rwhp on 93? i am debating on a new shortblock and cam and doing a smaller pully with #39 injectors and gt500 fuel pump and i want to make sure 93 will work.

Yeah there are guys running 93 pump at the 650-700rwhp area.
Dont bother with the 39s and throw in some 60 pounders.

your more than safe for what your asking for. im 565 right now with 9lbs boost and 39lb injectors. my new shortblock is going in soon and going up to 13lbs boost and 60lb injectors. with the gt500 fuel system im only at 40% duty cycle though with the 39lb injectors in currently.

For sure. I'm making 730rwhp on 6 lbs of boost and 87 octane fuel. But, I have to admit to using "104" octane booster to make it all happen! :naughty1:

if your saying im wrong then you need to go join the 3vs197 fan club cuz i dont put shit out that i dont know. maybe its cuz i was on a dynojet or just have a great build but dont try and tell me wtf my shit does. i dont remember who else it was but he was running high numbers with his injectors running a low duty cycle also. im not trying to promote people doing it either as im going to bump up to the 60lb soon. im just saying what i got.

Personally I wouldn't bother with the 39s, I would go with the 60s. That leaves you room to grow when the time comes.

I needed 60lb injectors at 604rwhp---but that was with a whipple.

a dyno jet has NOTHING to do with the fact that 39's will peak under 500. Ur starving your motor. Post the dyno sheet 1st and hope it has a A/F reading and SAE corrected.. Your talking about adding this and doing this, why not tell us what your build is and maybe, we can help you out more.

Just shocks me that i was making 560 with a built motor and 15lbs of boost with that fuel system as well. But u did it with 9........... i wanna see this.

just my 2cents

Help me out folks...I thought all engines made power by burning gasoline.

To get a specific HP number, wouldn't one have to burn a minimum flow rate of gasoline? As in, 400 HP = 25lbs/hour; given perfect combustion process? (The fuel flow given is a wild stab to get the conversation going.)

My point is, if it takes 25lbs/hr to make 400HP in a lab setting, it wouldn't be possible for my 'magic' engine to make 400HP on 20lbs/hr. Right?

So, somebody that knows this stuff, please enlighten us as to how much gasoline it takes to make, say, 500HP at the crank (which in reality, is actually around 750HP due to internal pumping losses).

I'm sure there are tuners out there running the cars rather rich to prevent meltdowns. This richness may push people to move up in injector sizes to keep up with the fuel flow required by the tune...

I'm just sayin'...

yes dynojet has a little to do with it. if i was on a mustang dyno it would obviously not have dyno'd as high. i respect the fact you want to help and thats fine. im not asking for it this time though. i also didnt say im out hot roddin; my car. its a ticking time bomb with the stock bottom end. thats why i have one being built at the moment to go in. as far as starving my motor, i still just dont agree. my duty cycle was only at 40%. but im going 60lb injectors anyways after my shortblock swap.

I believe you because i am doing it also with those same mods, 554rwhp sae. Paxton for the win i guess. But my injectors are maxed with this cooler weather so i upped the fuel pressure to compensate a little. There is some guys that are on here that are having a dyno day Mar. 13th I will attend to get on video of my 39lb injectors making 550rwhp on 93octane for the non-believers:boobies:

No worries man that rep shit is retarded anyone can leave anything, i got neg rep in one thread for posting that i didnt like the mgw shifter and that it was sloppy and mine broke prematurely and that i like the 5.0 ss better. They neg rep'd me and said come on man its a great shifter, which is their opinion...
