This is no shit. My friend went to the NASCAR technical institute for 2 years and graduated.

I was telling him about how someone on here asked why if our cars have single overhead cams that when you bought them you had to buy 2. I expected him to laugh. NO.

He said, and I shit you not "I guess the manufacturers are just trying to sell more of them and make you buy 2 at a time."

I also had to change his UV joint for him

Wire up his tach, he didn't know where the wires went (he had the ground right)

Walk him through a brake change

And don't even get me started about his understanding of timing

That was 2 years well spent

Sounds like a UTI grad

OP: as many have suggested, they sure are! but why don't you ditch the cams altogether for that sleeper performance? it's a win-win! you know, having a modded ride that's also environmentally friendly with absolutely no exhaust pollution!

i've also heard the cam delete upgrade goes hand in hand with ported heads (which can be done in-house by slowly feeding a few bags of sand through the air intake) :beerdrink:

I replaced my cams with hydraulic actuators I got from the F1 guys. It works great and I get to dial in my own lift and duration.

^no offense to your friend: you can lead a donkey to water, but you can't make the ass drink.
you just can't fix stupid with some people.

Oh, he's stupid, lol

But he thinks he's a master engine builder.

The fact that he passed makes me question the curriculum there, though.

He can't even get a job as a mechanic. He's had a couple that lasted about 2 days. Course, it's always their fault, lol
