We do have instructions available for those who have ordered the Watts link already. You can feel free to shoot me an email, [email protected] and I can get a set out if people need them. They will be posted on our website when we get the product page done, which should be done by Monday/Tuesday.

As far as starting points for the RC, I would recommend setting it up so that the arms are parallel to the ground, and the mounting points will depend on which springs you have on your car.

Kelly, though I bought a Fays 2 waiting for your watts link, I am never the less interested in purchasing yours! How do I go about it?

You can give us a call and place an order over the phone, or just wait for the product to go live on the site and place an order there.

I'm late to the party... But will this work with rear ends that have an axle girdle (beefier axle cover)? Like the FRPP low profile, standard, etc.

I'd like to know this as well. I just put a Boss diff cover on my car. Will the BMR WL clear it?

And $550 is a smoking deal for a new WL :thumb2:

It sure will! Here is a pic of our rod end/rod end with the finned cover installed. We haven't tested it with any other aftermarket covers though, just the OEM finned cover.

How well do the rod ends hold up to winter abuse? I have a (cheap) phb now, and after one winter, the rod ends are shot.

You should be able to get about a year or two out of them before they need to be replaced. There are rubber boots that you can buy to cover them up. It will help to keep the grit and dirt out of them and should prolong the life.

Kelly told me to put motorcycle chain lube on my rod ends, and it's worked quite well for the past year. However, my car is not driven in the salt.

My own personal experience with New England winters (which involve regularly driving through some pretty harsh salt/slush/road grime), No variant of rod end, roto-joint, del-sphere, etc, will hold up to any sort of significant winter abuse.

I daily drive my car year round, it's my only vehicle. Come Nov/Dec, I just slap winter tires on, a couple 75lb bags of sand in the trunk, and keep on driving. Years ago I went full rod-end suspension. The Rod-ends never made it through a full winter, none of them (and I tried the Seals it boots as well). For a couple years I replaced them each spring, not exactly a quick and easy job. I then gave roto-joints a try. They still needed to be maintained each spring, which involved seriously loosening them up, cleaning them out, and re-tightening them. Still not exactly a quick and easy job. After a few years of that I just gave up and went poly.

If your vehicle is going to see any sort of significant dirty winter usage, my recommendation is to forget any sort of rod end. If your winters are fairly mild, or the car will only see occasional use during the winter, then it may be worth trying out.
