LITO!
Lito?
LITO!
Lito?
Didnt abdullagt have issue with his turbonetics setup hitting his fan?
When youre tuner tunes the car for boost it will have a built in parameter for boost cut. When the MAP sensor reads the target value set by the tuner, it will cut ignition. It feels like youre hitting a rev limiter.
Its an extremely good saftey feature.
Its still important to watch boost though, you dont want to set boost cut just above target boost because there is often a boost spike when you have a big engine pushing through what is proportionally a small turbo.
If boost cut is too low youll hit it all the time when the weather starts to get cold, so you have to set it a little high.
Its good to give yourself some headroom. Have the car tuned all the way up to boost cut,. and then bring the boost down a little bit in case of spikes, creeping, etc,
Where is the MAP sensor located on a S197?
It's not, we dont have a map, we have a maf and frps.

I know this already.I was more or less trying to make a point that people should be very carefull of the advice they get (and give) on a forum. There are some people that believe everything they read in print as the truth. I think that the gentleman that was talking about a MAP sensor may have more knowledge with some import cars that do use a "boost cut". These Mustangs have no such thing. Be very carefull about trying to help someone out with the wrong information. BTW, like others have said, don't cheap out on a wastegate or the turbo. If you look around you will see that the cheap turbos that come with the Boost Brothers kit have been know to blow apart. How can you think that 1200.00 worth of parts is going to perform or last as a 5000.00 kit would.
