Garrett has usually made top notch turbos. The thing is that now they are a lot of fakes that have been stamping their name or their design. Or just buy a garret cover and cheap internal

I have a holset 67 on my car. It makes full boost at around 3500. I have 4.10's and I feel like it takes too long to spool up.

Thats still pretty good even with the gearing.
Im assuming its the regular HX52 and not the HX52 "Pro"? I think the Pro may actually be a T6 flange...

btw, how boost is "full boost"?

I'm not sure which model it is. It's pushing 9 psi. I haven't had the kit on but for about a week or so, still working out the bugs.

Nvm about the pro, I just realized its not a 67mm, its 72mm, so that couldnt be what you have.
So I guess you must have a regular HX52 off of a volvo semi truck
I really wish I could find a good source for specs on these turbos. Most of them are from OEM applications, not aftermarket, so there isnt a lot of solid info on the big ones.

Hey guys. I am new to the forum and have been looking around for turbo information as well and heard about this forum. I just wanted to jump in here because I recently finished an install on the Boost Brothers kit on my 2006 Mustang GT. I agree with most of the previous posts. You can use the turbonetics install instructions and follow them practically word for word. Thats what we did, and install was actually pretty straight forward. My personal opinion is that this is a great STARTING point. YES, the wastegate, bov, and turbo are all "knock-off" chinese parts. I upgraded my bov to a true HKS SSQV (rather than the knock-off that comes with the kit) and I upgraded the wastegate to a true Tial. I am still thousands of dollars shy of what a Turbonetics kit would cost. My next step will be to upgrade the turbo to one of my choosing. But for now, I am at 370 rwhp at only 4 psi of boost! The only reason I am running such low boost is because my clutch is slipping and i am going to wait until I upgrade to a McLeod set-up (might as well do it the right way) before I up my boost level. My tuner (Adam at ST Motorsports in San Bernardino. One of the very best around!!!) says he can get me around 450+ rwhp at 7-8 psi. That should be a lot of fun. Anyone with install questions or general questions about the boost brothers kit, dont hesitate to hit me up! I was lost when I first started with it too, but I am happy to help if I can!
