Hey guy's, I am in the process of swapping cams on my car, but I have ran into a bit of a problem using the valve spring compressor tool. it seems to me the easiest way to swap is by not removing any of the followers, but I am looking for a little advice doing so. I have done a quick search and I have found by slowing removing the cam caps a 1/4 turn per bolt is what I need to do. Is there a certain sequence that I should follow doing so. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just follow the tightening sequence and take your time. Put a towel under the cam area just in case any followers pop out.

I'm sure he just can't quit driving up to stopsigns and stoplights long enough to let us know how it went lol

No need to take the followers out, just use the torque sequence. Only back the cap bolts off 1/4 turn at a time. Just be sure not to hot the followers they will fall. Use the same steps when re-installing the can just turn the cap bolts 1/4 tight and it will eventually go down. I did the cam install two wks ago with no special tools except a garden hose to hold the cam chains in place.

Haven't seen any cam failure threads lol. Hope and assume all is well. I have had my new engine for 2 months now and still get excited about sitting in traffic as much as on ramps haha.
