Post a pic. Sometimes it can be cleaned up. If they are as bad as the ones posted by autoXracer then you are not going to be happy

Turns out it my buddy at work that bought this for his 2013 GT500. And he said his factory intercooler was huge so he didn't mess with it. So I get it ;)

I think scrochy backed off what the DOB could attain on his car, to be safe.

I have been running at 463hp 465 trq since day one on 92 oct and tons of beating on it and 1/4 mi passes, I mildly port and polished and port matched everything and we pulled quite a bit of timing out, if it was "maxed" on my setup with race fuel then I would not be surprised to see 535 rwhp. But that isnt going to happen until I go forged....

Those cams look pretty good from here. Can you catch a fingernail on any of the marks? Generally it takes about .003" minimum in order to catch a fingernail.

Scored cams are almost always the result of insufficient oil flow. The heads get oil last and it has to have enough volume and pressure to maintain a wedge with the .001-.003 clearance between the cam and journal. Different oil pumps, oil viscosity, and clearances can all affect what gets to the heads, especially when the motor isn't up to temp.

Does anyone remember the old oil commercial that said "90% of all engine wear happens when the motor is cold"? I tend to believe that old commercial.

Well I bought a billet MMR oil pump so should be good.
And yes I can catch a finger nail. Think I will polish the cams and generously lube the journals on assembly with break in lube. I also have a plan to pre-prime the engine oil before first start up.

AND WHY THE F$&@ is there no cam bearings!?!?! That's just sounds/looks stupid to me. Bad idea!

Damn I want a loopy cam like my charger in the mustang... But can't with boost :(

Right?

Here is the charger

I ceramic coated most my turbo parts for my Dakota. Headers and up pipe. And one of the mustangs exhaust manifolds. Still have to polish them in my tumbler. I'm ceramic coating from engine back to the mufflers on the mustang.
