yep...it wouldn't last long at all

I'm not going to get into this e-pen15 fight but if there were no noob posts than the forum would be pretty dead by now ...

if we only talked about stuff that hasn't been discussed already, there wouldn't be much to talk about

anyway i have them and like them

i had it tuned, no wideband. I was leaving chilis and started the car, and it sounded like it was starving for fuel, running rough, and then died on me while i was trying o back out of my parking spot. im not sure if it back fired or what. but there is more to the story. i had a tank of gas that looked liked a tank of oil. im not sure if the bad gas had anything to do with it, but it sure didnt help.

Who wrote the tune?

And if we keep asking the same shit over and over without ever checking to see how many hundred times it has been asked in the past we turn in to mustangforums.

It's really not that hard to use a search button, it doesn't take that much time, and no one is too important to think they don't need to. Worse case scenario you don't find what you were looking for and you start your thread by saying "I tried searching but couldn't find..."

Damn that sucks. Blowing your motor cuz the butterflys broke. I did it and i notice a smoother powerband. Increase in power too. Worth it for 150? Absolutely. You do shed about 2 pounds or so too hahaha.

Ford would cover that, right?

I imagine the conversation went something like, "Your computer tune caused the rivets to fail."

That or now that I think about it, altering the tune probably voids your entire drivetrain warranty..

no one, i just did the plug and play on it. i just had it dyno tuned the other day.

i didnt have a warrenty on the car. the car had 69k miles on it when it happend. i set the computer back to stock before i took it in to the dealer. i told them their was nothing on the car, other than the exhaust and cai, witch was true at the time. ford said that they havent had this problem on any other car, so they couldnt help me out. said it was just one of those freak accidents.

the only reason i took it their is because i know a guy their. i waited and called my insurance company, and ford before i started to build it back up. i was going to put it back to stock and trade it in if someone was going to pick up the bill on it. but they didnt so i built it.

Damn I sure hope so

nope they didnt, but its all good, i built it they way i wanted it.

It's truly sad that statement is so true.

wrong, they had no idea about a tune being on the car. i set everything back to stock. all they knew about was the CAI, and exhaust. they didnt even look to see if the x-pipe had cats on it.
