Anyone have any experience, sound clips, dyno sheets etc you could grace me with? The specs look good (similiar to hot rods, .472 lift, slightly more lsa at 112 vs 110, and slightly more intake duration (226 i think i forgot tho) and slightly less exhaust duration (235 or so i believe) hotrods are 220/240, the price looks good, but they seem ultimately untried... and yes I searched high and low all over this forum and others and youtube.

There is some google hits on them but only on the 2v engines.
Have heard nothing about them on the 3v, besides the specs being fine.
Personally I'd stick to tried and true/known working cams.

I know people love them for 2v's. I don't see any reason not to get them if they've got better specs than say, hot rods

The specs are fairly close to 127500 but with less lift. Can you get a cam card from them to see when the intake valve opens and what the intake center line is?

I'll ask, I know the guy from cushman has an account on another forum I'm on. I'm decently versed in how cams work now after some good reading, but how does the intake centerline and the time the valve opens affect everything?

Here are the specs btw

.472"/.470" lift, 225/237 .050" duration, 112LSA

it would determine whether or not the vct would need to be adjusted/ limited/ locked

Mostly it affects fuel injector timing. Most mod 3v cams are around 102 intake centerline unless more retard is ground in. Knowing these things allows you to plot valve timing events. IMO that's more useful than just knowing LSA and durations. It also helps to get a good idea of where and how much to retard the cams or how locking the cams will affect the motor.

With all that said I don't claim to be anything but an ameture with these things. My experience is with my motor combinations.

That's more info than I've been able to find, is that why even though cams like say hotrods, may not be the ideal grind for power, so many tuners knowing how to set the tune up for them to get 30rwhp?

Yes. Although frpp gives you a huge head start by supplying the retard values with the instructions.

I think I'll just go with hot rods then. My tuner is familiar with them, email tuners are familiar with them, and they sound good which is a bonus

ahhh, do it!! then we can finally find out lol

I am sticking with hot rods for the same reasons, I just can't throw a "maybe cam" in my car regardless of the specs if nobody knows about them.
Cam's are pretty vital engine parts. Nobody here knows if they will make more or less power but I can tell you that I haven't seen more than a 5-7hp difference in any NSR cam tested anywhere on the net or in magazines.

So you wouldn't be missing out on much if that was the case anyway.
Unless you want to do springs and limiters we're all in the ballpark with NSR's.

I don't think you can go wrong with Hot Rods. However, have you looked at any of the Lunati grinds? They have some that look like they would work well. So would 127500, springs, and limiters. Lol.

I originally wanted 127500's springs and limiters, but the ease of nsr install, and price swayed me. I'm a poor college student lol.
