I had to cut mine off. You just need to cut the bottom 1" or so off it, the little tab is all. I have the Racestar rims also.

does any1 drive their jegs wheels on the road? it says not for street use?

I did also. I think the not for street use is because the front are 4" wide. They don't want anybody to wreck because the tires are so small. Don't hit corners fast and you will be fine. I had the Weld draglights on my old coupe and I drove it every day with the 3.5 up front and it done fine!

the only thing i cut was the piece that hangs down where sway bar was bolted.every thing else cleared the wheel & tire

My Jegs wheels are 8's in the rear but mine didn't hit anything. I think ya'll are talking about the race stars but I just wanted to let everyone know the Jegs 8's didn't hit on the rear of my car.

I still use a spacer on the rear with my 15x8s jsut for saftey i guess.. Its not a must the whel will fit fine without it.

Has any1 noticed the hole for the conical lugnuts to screw into are rather small? I had a bad problem at the track one day where it looked like my wheel shifted or wasnt put on straight. I had to bang a socket in to get the lugs off. What do you guys tourqe your lugnuts to on the Jegs Wheels? i did mine to 110ft lbs.

Why use a spacer if its not needed? I dont see how that is safer...just less stud to screw onto if your using the stock studs

I use the rear spacer as well for extra saftey. When i was looking into 15" wheels i tlaked to chad05gt and he uses the jegs as well. We were tlaking about how something happend to his rear once with the wheels and he wish he had a spacer on.

I see no reason to use a spacer unless the wheel hits the caliper. If you hear it hit then get the grinder out and grind some. Other than that I see no reason to use a spacer. If it clears and don't hit the caliper I wouldn't use the spacer. To me thats more of a chance to break off lug studs. Like SlvrS197 said I don't see it being safer.

Yes I have thats why I have bought 1/2x20 lug nuts with a 3/4 head on it. They fit fine. I bought them from my local tire shop for 1.00 each. If you can find any let me know and I will give you there number so you can call them. I'm sure they can ship them to you. If not I can.
