Hey got a question...

American muscle FINALLY started carrying Racestars

Their selling the 15x8`s for the rears- Question for this, What size of tire can I run for this?

And also 15x3.75 race stars for the front.

Question is will they fit fine on the stock bullitt caliper? Im probably going to just get the reccomended studs with them aswell.

Will this setup for the back work fine with a 1inch H&R real wheel spacers or no?

That skinny of a front probably won't handle very well at all on the street??? JMO!!! I got the 17" skinnies and Hoosier pro-street radials on front!! LOVE the way they handle...for skinny treads!

You can probably get Racestars at a better price from at least two of the site vendors. HTP Motorsports and Blow By Racing both sell these wheels.

Just got my Racestars yesterday and when I was test fitting the wheels I noticed that the wheel weights on the front rims are touching the caliper. As soon as I drive it I know the weights are going to be ripped off. Can I move the weights over to the inside of the rim on the lip(even with the spot where they are currenty mounted) or will that throw off the balancing? What did you guys do about this? Thanks in advance for your guys help.

Did they mount the weights inside the wheel? Take them back and have them use the tap on ones on the inside of the wheel, between the tire and the wheel.

Not sure if moving the weight will affect balance, but what I said is an easy way to avoid the problem all together.

Well, I ordered them from Late Model Restoration so I can't just take them back, lol. I ak going to remove the weighs and see his it drives. If it vibrates too much I will take them and have them balanced with he tap on weighs.

Same problem here. Yes knock on weights fixed it. Steeda should know better

Oh lol. Well if the tires are already mounted maybe go to a friendly tire shop and see if they will hook you up with some weights. If they want to be penny pinchers I can't see them charging you more than 10 bucks for 2 weights and a quick balance.

Got my Racestars and DRs on today! Big thanks to Jarrod at LMR for hooking me up! 15x10s with 275/50/15 Nitto 555R and 15x3.75s with 185/60/15 Nankangs up front and Steeds swaybar relocation kit. Fit perfectly, no spacers and no grinding. Also, I removed the stick on weights on the skinnies and drove it down the street. Smooth as glass. No shimmy or vibration in the steering wheel at all. Gonna be a fun spring /summer at the track!

Looks good bro! Those are some short tires in the back, what gears are you running? Make sure you are good around 100mph without the weights, don't want to find out they vibrate when you are going down the track!

They actually don't look as short in person, I really like them. I have 4.10s. Yeah, I got up to around 90 and it was still smooth!

Honestly, it isn't bad at all. A lot of guys kinda had me worried, saying that the skinnies wouldn't turn or stop well at all. I did several panic stops and it was fine. I mean, obviously there is less gripping surface with skinnies but the car still stops very well. I drove it to work this morning and it handled fine. You can definitely tell it does not want to turn in as quickly but once you get used to it, it is not a problem. Honestly, if you drove the car without knowing it had skinnies on front you probably would never even notice the handling. The tires are definitely narrow but not much more than come on a lot of econo cars.

If you really want to run Billet Specialties, look into getting the brake caliper conversion from JMS Chip and Performance.

I have this kit, and it works great! It allows the clearance you need.

The 17x4.5's have 2.5" of backspacing

17 x 4.5" Racestars do not have 2.5" backspace. They have -25.4mm offset which is about 1 5/8" backspace as measured.
