They are 1000cc. And he said his tuner would have had to go redo his tune. If it were me and i was paying i would have had him redo the tune and cranked up the base pressure. After all that is what he was paying him for. But i cant really say because i want there and dont know their relationship or what they had planned out the entire time.

Look on injector dynamics website. They say on there they are bosch injectors and they are teamed up with bosh. I remember a wile back them saying they werent bosch injectors and now they say they are. I guess now that people are finding out they are they had to change a few things.

Bobby, every slugfest I have seen between ID and the "other guy" has not ended well for the "other guy". My point being that they do a great job detailing why their injector is worth the money paid VS the the other guy claiming his cheaper injector is just as good.

There is a buyer for every price point. Kicking that dog gets you nothing.

I am not getting in a debate with them. All i am saying is that they use bosch injectors. They take them and flow them to a tighter tollerance then they come from bosch. But they are bosch injectors. They said a wile back that they werent and now they are saying they are.

FWIW I have the Bosch 1000s from Bobby in my car now. They perform flawlessly at my current power level (7xx) on E85. My tuner uses the same injector tables for both the ID1000 and Bosch 1000. If there's a difference it's very small.

And thats all i was trying to get at.

I am glad when anyone's setup is working great.

But, I think there is a difference between acceptable and optimal. That's the point I am getting at.

Good luck with whatever you choose One Eyed Willy.

I havent had a problem at all with my bosch 1000cc. I am making 951whp and 871wtrq on 93 without a problem. My tuner said he cant tell a difference at all between the two as far as numbers and tunability. He is an id dealer as well and uses bosch unless someone is dead set on id injectors.

I'd like to know if E85 will work on an ALL MOTOR car with a 250 shot of NOS?
Can I get that info in this thread or do I need to start a new one?

FUUUK.....i knew this would cost me more money.....

You got that right. Sheeeit...I've got 3 grand just in my fuel system. I'd say if your going to keep your car for quite some time and know that you'll keep upping the power go ahead and invest in a good return system and spec it for E85. My system is the Fore Level 4 with twin AEM 1200 E85 compatible pumps and ID1000 injectors. I'm currently at 726 rwhp. Per Jon Lund my setup is good to 850 rwhp before a change to ID2000s would be needed. I already have plenty of pump. I'd say get on the phone with Justin over at Fore. He is one helluva guy to talk to. He can steer you in the right direction.

Tons of advantages to E85:

I'm not really looking to make any more power, I know I'm in the 700 range at 17psi and its already a hand full. I'd really just like it for the insurance. from everything I'm reading on here, it should not be a problem for me to make the switch, as is.

Willy, if you are not trying to make more HP, then I think you can definitely run the system you have, as far as capacity goes, with the E85. I don't know how well the pumps will handle E85 long term but I'm sure someone here knows and will chime in.

If E85 were more readily available around here, I would be switching over myself, just for the safety factor.

You will have to turn the boost down to make the same power as you are now.

I wouldn't see the purpose in a new fuel system, what you have will handle what you have in mind with a safety margin. I'd guess that more headroom could be had with a -8 line. I wonder if anyone has drilled out the small hole common to the fuel rail connector? It would probably make a difference.

As you know your datalogs will tell you if the fuel system is getting close to being maxed out.

Another question...stoich changes with e85, what would I be looking for on the wideband now? That all changes right?

No. The wideband just reads 1 lambda as 14.7. 9.8 is 1 lambda with e85 so it will still display as 14.7 for 1 lambda. Think of the wideband in gas terms. It's not measuring a/f ratio, it's measuring lambda and displaying it as 14.7.

Can't wait to get my car back. My car, especially the turbo, was always more responsive on the corn. I only had another .5 to 1* timing in it also because of the stock motor. You'll have more power under the curve with it at a hair less boost. I say run it. E-85 by my gym last night was 3.19 for cash and 3.29 for credit.
