So my build is almost done. And eagle told me they rate their rods at 1200 hp but they have seen more and I shouldn't worry about failure. I plan on pushing my TT 3 valve as far as the turbo's will go.

How maby of you think the rods will live. ?

*no I'm not changing to billet rods
I have over 17k invested in the build so far and I'm prerty much broke lol.

Frpp boss block
Eagle forged crank
Eagle H beams arp 2000 bolts
Wiseco gas ported pistons @10.2 compression
BBR stg 2 heads and cams
Arp everything
Frpp manifold "if im over 30 psi it may cause issues"

New S&H TT kit
Comp 6265 oiless turbo's
Eboost 2
Turning it up all the way

3 walboro 400s return style e85
2000cc injectors

Fully built turbo 400 trans rated @2500 hp billet everything.

Detroit locker
Moser 31 splines
323 gears

Opinions suggestions? I'm just bored and want to discuss it.

I plan on being over 1000 rwhp

Have seen 1000rwhp be pretty reliable. 1100 gets into the "ehhhhhhhh" territory

I know the manley h-beams with arp 2000 bolts are only rated to 700hp and people knock down 1000rwhp with them all day long. If yours are rated to 1200hp you shouldn't have to worry at that level. Anymore than that rating and I would look at the oliver billet I-beams.

This build started out moderate but somewhere along the way o decided 800-1000 hp wasn't enough.

What happens when you get used to 1100 hp?
Probably should start looking into some used top fuel dragsters :roflmao:

I can't remember anyone having a problem with h beams or the rod bolts. Then again most builds on here are in the "normal" range of 450-700rwhp. Maybe do a search for h beam failures on google?

I doubt that Eagle did any kind of stress tests but it wouldn't hurt to ask Eaglestroker. He's been active lately. IMO most ratings are nothing more than advertising. I've seen the Oliver rods for $999 brand new. If you haven't had the ra balanced yet you could still swap them out and sell the Eagle rods.

At 1100rwhp any little thing is going to cause problems. I'm looking forward to the final numbers.

Did you o ring the block?

Hard to believe eagle would rate their rods that much higher than manley lol, makes me feel better about pushing my manley rods to 1000rwhp

I think if you aren't trying to spin it to 7500 rpm with 30 psi you will be fine. I had Eagle stroker kit in my first built motor and ran 21-23 psi on them for a while spinning it to 7000 rpm and never had a problem with anything. Well except the pistons when a fuel pump went out.

Until you break something and ton of money goes down the drain and you start hating your car and get rid of it.

Not to sound too dark but the route to that levels is expensive and can get even more so easily that then some time down the road you ask, why? You start to remember happier and cheaper times where you enjoyed and used your car more with less.

Wish the best.

I seem to remember chevykiller saying something along those lines about how he enjoyed the car more when it had just the stock motor and a vortech.

Good luck to Dillon though the cars gonna be killer.

Oh I know i've spent countless dollars this is my 3rd engine and 4th power adder setup..

This current build has already hit 17,000 and is still growing, only good news I have is that I have not cut any corners, and went with the best of the best stuff, originally i had thought the eagle stuff would satisfy me then I got used to driving an 800 hp gt500 for a daily, and the story goes on.

I hang out with too many fast people

I have a friend with a TT 03 cobra that was making 1300 wheel through a manual with eagle H beams for over a year

I am sure there are a few of us on the board who can relate. Hopefully you don't fall in the same category.

+10 would read again.
Makes sense, I see this happen to a lot of people who finally built their "monster" only to not be able to enjoy the car like they used to... slippery slope gentlemen!

300hp FTW!!! :chainsaw:

Dillion you said you hang out with too many fast people, do you feel the need to be faster?
I'm glad you can afford to toss that money like a baller, but you do really someone will always be faster right?
