I can honestly say I have NEVER been accused of being politically correct. If you ask an honest question seeking real knowledge I will give you the best possible answer I can. However, if you stand there and blow horseshit all over everyone and say things like "I heard..." or "I think I read..." or "blah-blah over at show-car-cruiser-stang.com said..." then you will be abruptly noted as a fuktard and summarily dismissed.

Hey buddy!!! I'm a member over there and have been for some time. I know that plenty of people over there are worried about visual mods and exhaust sound. That is another section of the Mustang owners that aren't purely worried about going fast and having a 10 second car. I can't speak for everyone over there but it is a nice site to visit and I am an avid member over there. I am talking about ModdedMustangs because I am not a member at TMS. Take it easy on other sites because every site I visit has different people on them and are different communities.

I'm thrilled. Not really. I absolutely refuse to acknowledge anyone who installs camshafts for the sole reason of standing there listening to the damn thing. You might as well install a horn that sounds like a Jenna Jamison screaming orgasm. It will bring a smile to the same bunch of dillweeds who don't have a clue what to do with it. "Those" sites are just not technical enough to gather decent information or make an informed decision on something like camshaft selection. Period. And there is always some checkbook-toting, dyno queen-driving, mighty mouth who is touting his highly-superior supercharger as the reason he is swinging his 600 hp dick around while failing to mention he also has a 300" stroker engine, ported heads, and aftermarket camshafts. To hell with them. I certainly don't need that much stupidity introduced into my life on a daily (or even weekly) basis. I've been married and divorced twice.....I've had more than my share of "stupid" for one lifetime.

I'monly asking this because I'm a cam n00b, but I'm guess this wouldnt be best for FI?

At least you're honest about it. Personally....I would not use them on a supercharged or turbocharged engine. Not with that lobe separation angle. Just a little too close for my tastes. Just glancing at the numbers I'd say you might be bleeding off some boost through the exhaust during the overlap phase. The overlap is what gives these cams their lope.

On that third photo, isn't XE used as a prefix on xtreme energy Comp cams? And $21 appears pencilled in as a price. Is it possible these are simply Comps repackaged for sale using a handy frpp box? Not trying to conspiracy theory, but googling didn't find anything on the part number...

6251 is an old Comp Cams 350 Chevy cam (singular). 3099-9 is the grind number and the 4 is for 4 valve heads (bs...i have no idea)

What I find really humorous (besides Don's post) is that some of you actually went to TMS or moddedmustangs looking for technical information and found jackasses who want cams for the sound.

"I'm going with the FRPP hot rod cams because I want that lopey sound."

Why? So they can listen to it in the fuckin' parking lot because those same fuktards damn sure won't race their car down a track.

Just got the specs from FRPP. Lift on both intake and exhaust is .472" (12mm); duration at .050"; intake - 221/exhaust 240; 110 lobe separation angle. Good N/A cams.

I agree with you, installing cams for sound only is pretty retarded but everyone has there own thing. The reason I joined this site is to be around technical people like yourself and others.

I went to TMS to see if the guy who had them installed had seen the FRPP package, for the record. I go to various boards. One I'm a mod at, the rest have their own reasons. TMS is good for general news and exterior mods. This is the best one for technical/performance. I go to MustangForums just because it's a large community and the onslaught of newbs tend to crack me up.

While the most important thing to me about putting in the cams would be performance, I would be lying if I said I didn't like the lopey idle.

Wonder how these would be with a 75 or 100 shot, because nitrous is my next venture, but I also want these cams.

According to my FRPP source there is ONE set available in the country as of this morning and that is Sutton. My source had four sets and has sold them all. Should have four more sets in about a month.

And I still wouldn't fucking use them on a fucking blower car.
