Well Ill be heading out that way in Nov/Dec. Got an assignment to Geilenkirchen and Im ready to go! Im just kinda worried about the cars passing inspection. With the Mustang I still have the stock H and Ill put that back on before I ship it so that should be fine. The STi on the other hand...I dunno. Im running an ewg so I guess I might have the get the dump tube welded into the downpipe to help keep the noise down and avoid being told I have an exhaust leak. Any other tips or ideas while I have time to get them done?
don't forget the tint rules (no tint on driver and front passenger windows)... if you have access to a db meter, the max allowed db from exhaust is 95. Check online and download the study guide for the drivers test; the questions from the guide are taken directly from the test...
Good points there Herk. Although they haven't messed with me about the exhaust. This year may be different since I went O/R. We'll see. They did give me shit about my LCA Relo brackets and the K-Member. I had to go off base to TUV and get it certified by their engineer...100E. Fuckers.
Was this at Spang? I didn't have any trouble with my relocation brackets during any of my inspections when I was at Ramstein. They did make sure they checked the exhaust (I was at 93 db!); of course, all I had were Zoomers and the blower then, I am sure with LTs I am way over 95 now...
