I figured with all of the amazing technical info on this site in regards to handling that I would start a Road Course / Handling Crew. Please PM me for numbers...this crew will be ran by the members so if you don't think we should have numbers than we won't have no stinking numbers!

Post your setup and what tracks/ driving road you love and we can get this pony moving around the corners! This will be a great place to share setup info and driving tips!

This is chat, so not technically a tech thread...just a place for the corner carvers to chat and share ideas.

That's why there is a forum for this. Why do we need to start a chat thread? This 'crew' stuff is retarded, this is NOT facebook. Tech content or STFU.

Interestingly enough you never said this in any of the other threads, I was just creating a chat since there are other chats and this is an area not covered.

Lulz. You're ruining Germs chances of starting a "Hoppin On The Bandwagon" crew. :roflmao:

I thought you were already in the "Real Performance Mustangs" crew. How many crews are we allowed to be in ?

I like this idea... I have quite a few things done to my s197 to make it handle the power it has, and also propel this 3500lb beast around a corner faster than most think is possible with a muscle car.

Mods thus far;
Suspension parts from Hotpart.com:
1) Billet LCA
2) Vogtland lowering spring kit ( about a 1.2" drop in the back and .8" drop in the front )
3) Upper chamber plate strut mounts
4) adjustable panhard rod ( Poly/poly )

Other suspension parts:
1) Koni STR struts & shocks
2) GT500 front lower control arms
3) Steeda rear swaybar /w endlinks
4) Steeda front swaybar
5) Steeda adjustable UCA+mount combo
6) Steeda X5 ball joints
7) Steeda bumpSteer kit

Never been to an open track... haven’t had the money for the tires yet... but soon...
So far I’ve been pleased the way it handles in the hills, were I live there are a lot of local twisties up in the hills that this car just sticks too. Very stable at high speeds and very predictable once traction eventually does get lost... comes right back to you. Very impressed thus far.

Only one, unless you join the unlimited number of crews crew. :)

Well I want in this crew BUT I want to reserve the right to opt in and out of crews as I see fit so that I can make sure I'm not offending other crews. Perhaps we can make it a by-law.

Great setup, are you running any LCA relocations? What tires are you running right now, and do you plan any brake upgrades? Your number is 1.

Your in, the difference between this crew is you guys decide how its run so after 10 crew members we will decide wether we need stinking numbers or not! But until we all decide you are # 2.

LoL... Nice Crew! I think I like your crew, but I don't wanna join it either! LOL

This crew is different, the crew members decide...heck they can vote me out...LOL.

/face palm lol.. I forgot.

I run BEAR GT-PLUS breaks in the front
http://www.baer.com/products/complete/gt.php
And BAER EradiSpeed-PLUS-TWO in the rear

Breakpads i use are OEM 02 z06 pads i believe.

No on the LCA relocations, running General UHP wrapped around 20x9 shelby razors. Going with some better tires in the next month... looking at KDW 2's right now.

Our project car runs Wilwoods, but I love the Baers as well...I ran them on my C5.

Any other options than the KDW2? Not a bad tire but there are better choices for around the same money, what size are you running? 275/35/20?

Indeed 275/35/20 its hard to find good tires in 20'' rim sizes... I myself have just started researching the topic of tires as im getting more serious with my setup. I was looking at the NT05's as well... Any suggestions for a street tire? I believe the largest tire i would want to fit on the rim would be 285/35/20 in the rear and 255/40 for the front but it really depends on the tire of course.

You would be amazed at how much tire you can get on the front we are running 285/35/ 19s all the way around on our S197 on a set of Enkei GTC01's 19x9.5....and thats with the car lowered with no rubbing. The NT05's are a great choice, whats your threshold as far as longevity?
