My wife and I are currently going through the long process of buying our first home and we qualify for the $8000 dollar tax credit. So next year when tax season rolls around I'm looking at a nice tax return. I have a few small credit cards that I will pay off, but where should I spend the rest? I'm thinking a supercharger or turbo setup,or diving into the interals on the engine but I'm not sure. Anyone have any ideas or thought on this delima?

Rods and pistons first. Then worry about a power adder with whatever is left over.

Or just start buying guns and stocking up on ammunition. There's a Civil War coming.

Tax credit does not equal $$ back. You might want to wait until it's in your wallet...

Yes I agree with that, but with my military income and my wife working on base we still don't make enough to have to pay in. I talked with my tax rep and they said with my deployment and the house credit I should have a very nice tax return for 2010.

You're kidding, right? You just bought your first home and you think the wife's gonna let you have another dime for a car? I see you adopting a whole new vocabulary - Get used to words like Drapes, Blinds, Wallpaper, low VOC Paint, California Closets, Matching Linens, Shelf liner, and the list goes on.

And then there's that new thing called "the yard". You'll need Annuals, Perinials, Boxwoods, Mulch, Crabgrass Preventer, fertilizer, a new mower, edger, rake, etc...

I've been married for 23 years, bought 10 house, and I STILL don't have any money left over for my car. Working on a complete kitchen remodel right now.

Money let over for a car? Now that's funny!

I did my car opposite of what I probably should have, but at least i've had fun. I started out with the whipple and a aluminum ds. Now I bought some of my suspension and will do the tr6060 next most likely unless my whipple sells to go turbo, but I doubt it, so i'll upgrade a couple items on the whipple. Last will be my motor.....yeah, ass backwards, but i've had a damn fun time in my car.:thumb:

( listen wisely, i live in socialist canada... there is some progress going on here , they are planning on scrapping the long gun registry...) buy as much as you can before its too late :banghead:

give me half and keep the rest for yourself in cash. So if banks stop working all of a sudden, I saved you four grand. :beerchug2:
and I guess another idea would be to buy a built motor and spray a 200 shot.

Go ahead and build the block. Throw some heads and cams on there and have a real nice N/A setup and add the blower/turbo later on.

I don't need to say a thing, it's been said already!
