Installation day was rough.

This is my first time doing anything suspension wise on a car and didnt expect it to be like this. Today I installed the Ford racing K-springs the rears only, my BMR panhard brace and also UMI Lower control arms.

First problem when doing the rear springs i was to afraid to let my pumpkin go down as i jacked it up previously after a solid 10 minute break of thinkign finally decided to do it and it was a success!

Secondly going to the lower control arms, i also purchased the brackets for them but as i was reading instructions and looking up pictures i was simply just confused. got the bracket in place but i was unable to get the bar to reach both ends lined up perfectly. i scratched that and just installed the control arms, going to go back to the brace later on this week.

and last the panhard bar, honestly was the easiest of the 3 to instal, except for the fact i had to mallet the ends into place, but was a success. Measuring each side was as easy as the instructions said.

THE BIGGEST PROBLEM OF THE NIGHT. I forgot a grease gun..... unable to grease the poly bushings on any of my units i am not afraid that somehting may go wrong. I am going to buy the gun and the grease tomorrow and garage the car for the night and tomorrow. though I did put maybe 5 miles on it driving without the grease.

Would that of affected anything? i am just curious.


also today got my windows tinted and calipers painted blue, everything looks amazing and soon will have read window louvers to go with everything.

Pics cant really show that i lowered the rear though.

Should be fine... as long as they don't experience too much stress.. Potholes, speedbumps, bumps, highspeed driving, etc...

And you'll have to deal with the noise.

Be sure you use the correct lube . You cannot use petroleum base grease with the poly bushings, it will lead to premature failure of the bushings. I made that mistake a couple years ago and had to replace all my bushings. You need to use a synthetic grease. I prefer to grease them as I install them but you can do it afterwards as well. Good luck.

I haven't been able to find synthetic grease where I'm stationed in Germany, although I'm sure it can be found somewhere. I've been using petroleum based grease for 4 years on my BMR suspension and haven't had any issues. I lube the bushings twice a year and inspect them almost monthly. Not saying not to use synthetic, just stating my experience.

once you drop the rear end without lcas it will move. Put your brackets back on and move the rear end to fit the lca, pretty easy.

Probably won't have hurt anything driving on dry poly bushings. Just DO NOT over grease them, they'll fail faster.

A mallet is required for working on cars, comes with the territory.

Your springs will settle over the course of a week or two. May have to readjust your PHB.
