What makes the Centri's "match" this engine vs a PD blower? I've been wanting to ask. I thought everybody was just getting the Paxton's cuz they were cheap(er) than Whipples or KB's????

Absolutely no belittling of the Paxton or Vortechs intended, just wasn't sure why everybody seemed to buy them.

Spent a ton of time and research into centri vs PD and centri came out on top in most cases for what i wanted ... a great preforming daily driving reliable kit. Nothing against the PD crowd but i think the down low shock these PD blowers give to a stock bottom end doesnt help the reliability factor. price was never a factor when i decided on doing mine. I was ready to pull the trigger on a complete whipple kit at the time

The gearing and high rpm is what makes the centri's work well with this engine. I'm over 400 tq at 3500 rpm and that comes fast with the gearing in the car. To me the car is comparable to my old whippled 3v in the lower rpms but starts to really pull above 5000 rpm and never stops. I'm sure the twinscrew cars are even more aggresive in the lower rpms, but the extra lower rpm power can't be usable with street tires cause even mine gets no traction til 3rd. So throw in the cost savings of the Vortech/Paxton kit and it's a no brainer to me.

The Paxton blower can and has supported 1000 rwhp. Centri blowers get better with increased RPM and this engine screams. Nothing wrong with PD but once the mid rev histrionics are over an evenly matched PD blower would likely be out run by the centri blower.

I think turbo would be most efficient, but I like the pairing of a coyote and a Paxton/Vortech all the same. There is something to be said about how linear the power delivery on the centri is too.

Are you using the Paxton valve? And if so, do you have the supplied filter on it? Taking the filter off makes quite the difference, but I dont run without it.

Is it a lot louder without it?

Yeah, that filter muffles it a bit. I just mention this because you liked how the Big Red BOV sounded, and it was an open vent with no filter.

Take the filter off if you want swoosh.

Watch beefcakes vid, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a filter on his from the sound of it. But he will have to confirm this. Not mention his is in a diff location because he had custom pipes done.

Well holy shit it's loud for having filters. I know you're running two, but still. Although the locations help reflect the swoosh off of the ground for a more "cool" factor.

Juiced you can t-bolt clamps from Race Part Solutions. They will work fine for your boost levels.

A Little off topic but are we seeing the same issues as the paxton with the Vortech kit in regards to the coolant tank leaking? About to purchase a Vortech kit and if so just goiing to go ahead and by the Canton tank
