So I have questions... I am considering putting a Paxton on my car; however, the car is absolutely my daily driver and it must stay that way. Right now, the motor/driveline is 100% stock. I want the car to be as quiet as possible - I don't even want to add an off-road X-pipe or mufflers. Stock exhaust will be retained. So here's my questions:
- Can I reach 600 rwhp with nothing more than a Paxton with the standard pulley and a Boss intake?
- Is it reasonable to believe the car can live at 600 rwhp for a long, long time? I don't really want to buy another motor. Also, I live in Phoenix so 91 octane is the best I can get.
- How long will the stock clutch last at that power level? And the rear axle? What (if any) supporting mods (besides injectors/BAP/tune) will be needed to make the car live happily at that power level? I just drive the car, and beat on it a little on the road sometimes. It's been to the track, but it's certainly not a track car.
I've read through this entire thread already, but most folks mod the cars more than just the blower.
